Baseball Club June/July/August

Hey guys,

Swerve has asked for some help with getting things lined up for the next few months. I will assist unless someone else wants to pull the trigger.

We are in a pickle for June with bump in case price for Bowman Platinum. Not all wanted to add funds, so we will be forced to look at some other options.

According to Swerve, we have $309 in rollover money. This includes 3 already paid for June. We have $1080 to collect from the rest of the group (this includes Bum Dawg dropping the Mets and McCauley leaving the group). that gives us $1394 prior to fees and shipping, but not including auctioned teams. Shipping has been anywhere from $60-100 depending on product, so this probably leaves us with around $1200 to play with for June.

I put out a message recruiting new members, so we'll see if there is any interest. I have also written to BO asking for price matching on the cases we intend to purchase. I will update when I hear back from them.

It appeared as though everyone was on board for at least a 9 box case of TTT for July (we can also still do the additional 9 boxes for those interested). In order to do that, we will have to go cheap in June.

A couple of decent options would be 2010 Topps Chrome (535), 2010 Bowman Chrome (619) or decrease to a 6 box case of Bowman Platinum (690 or less depending on what I hear from BO). The positive for Bowman Chrome is that it is we could sell off the wrappers (or send them in) and add about $100 to the rollover fund. If we keep June at around $600, this should allow us to be able to do the 9 box TTT in July.

$400 rollover + $1215 team payments + auctioned teams for June & July would get us pretty close to even for June and July and allow us to do the TTT. I assume swerve wants help with the silent auction as well, so that will be started once a product is chosen.

August is a big month as well, looks like the top products are Topps Chrome $775, Lineage $1000 and Marquee (expensive but nice). But let's take care of June/July for now.

I will put up a poll including the 3 I listed, if there are any others please do write in votes. Once we reach a majority the auctions will be set up.
