Not off to a great start in his first four MLB games; only two hits, buyers have begun crafting terrific reasons why they need to return their Franmil Reyes RC's.
Three buyers looking to back out of purchases so far, likely many more to go. I think I may end up owning more Reyes autos than I started with when this is all said and done! Back out #1 - Hi there Michael.....sorry been a crazy week for me just found out a few days ago ...my dog has cancer...have to pay for surgery $5000 i almost have enough to pay for all cards...but if you could cancel the one blue ungraded card...i should have enough to pay for the cards tonight or the morning...i would appreciate that...been listing stuff to pay for dogs surgery...it sucks, but it life..let me know if you can do that eBayer - the-kings-cards (803) My Decision - I pulled the raw blue out of the invoice and I offered him the invoice to pay for the remainder (4 cards). He did. The raw blue stays in limbo for now but hopefully positive feedback will be left for the package when it arrives in a day or two, and I'll gladly cancel the blue. This was the first one, so my response was more docile than usual. Back out #2 - I am so sorry. My son was on my account and bidding on this. I wish I had the money to pay for it but we don't. I am so sorry for this. eBayer - want-it-need-it-get-it-now (32) My Decision - I had a little fun with this one. After searching the buyers real name (very unique name), a Facebook profile was found. She's a mom in Boone NC, with Facebook pictures of a brand new baby. Pictures of what I presume to be the husband/father (perhaps just dad, IDK), but no pictures of any other son. I told her that allowing a 1 year old to bid on eBay can cause severe developmental problems in the future, and she attached a picture of another son she has (no pictures on Facebook of this kid though, must not be adored as much). She wants me to believe that at 10:35 at night on a Wednesday, this seven year old put two sniped bids in during the final five seconds of my Franmil Reyes Orange auction? Do you know how tricky it can be to get two bids in during the final five seconds? Kid has MAD skills. I said to her that she's either lying, or is allowing her 7 year old to stay up until 11pm on a school night, unsupervised, bidding on eBay auctions. She should prefer the former. Dad's Facebook has links to all kinds of different MLB and MiLB clubs, easy to presume he's the bidder. No contact since, I suspect this won't be getting paid. Back out #3 - I received the card and there is a scratch from top to bottom in the case. I didn’t see that in the description. eBayer - mjlfit (768) My Decision - A BGS scratch! Well, I offered to either give a $10 refund to have the case replaced, so long as a picture can be sent showing the scratch, OR to replace the card entirely with another Reyes Bubble 9.5/10, because I still have a dozen of them. Even offered to replace with better subs. Radio silence so far, but I have no doubt I'll receive a "I'd simply like to return the card. Please set up a return" email shortly. Prospecting is the devils work.
