The 1996-97 Platinum Medallion base MJ, however, is one of my 10 favorite cards of all time. The simplicity of the design, the action shot (and Big Dog's expression), just the right amount of shininess for a parallel.

I have to admit, the Jordan pic is far bettet than the D. Robinson one though. It does make a difference.
I'm already regretting selling my 96 Platinum MJ. Bought it raw and it graded an 8 (at least it was legit). Needed the $$$ at the time unfortunately.
I'm with you, the Platinum is right up there.
