But it was definitely the case in past releases. I remember buying (and selling, still cry about it) silver prizm RCs of solid players because I thought they couldn't get any higher or I needed quick money and preferred to liquidate cards vs. using bank money....big time mistake...so don't be a fool like me.
I guess the question is: When is the best time/price to buy (if any) for this year's rookies?

I completely agree. It's similar to stocks, etc. Trying to guess the top or bottom hardly works. I had a counter-offer from a seller for 2 Simmons silver PSA 10 at 1750 per. Thought it was ridiculous. Now I can't get one under 2k.
