What about this hobby makes you scratch your head in confusion?

For me, it's the fact that hype sells for higher prices than success. I just don't understand why people drop the same coin on an Ingram treasures auto patch as they would a reigning current MVP's exquisite rookie auto patch, who also has very few signed cards in general and shows no sign of signing anytime soon. I get, big LA market but damn man.... $1800 for a Westbrook exquisite is severely undervalued
