It's not so much based on what she has done as how she presents herself. I've always been extremely impressed with the way she debates. I believe she exhibits a deep understanding of the issues, which allows her to always be on the offensive and ready for anything. I actually wanted her to win over Obama 8 years ago. I have no regrets about Obama winning now, as he completely won me over, but at the time I thought she was better and seemed more informed than him in all the debates.
