Basketball Set Collectors Trade Thread

This thread is intended to be a place that basketball set collectors can post their various set needs and get help from other set collectors on the boards. This idea was first used in the baseball B/S/T section.

The hope is that this becomes a thread where 'value' and 'compensation' are not factored into the transaction. If I have some cards that would help a fellow board member fill his set, I'd mail them to that board member free of charge. If someone else can help me fill a set, they would mail the cards to me with no expectation of return. If at any point someone feels they are sending more than receiving, they can simply stop participation.

This doesn't mean that 1 for 1 trades or even purchasing isn't allowed. Each member can ask for or require compensation if that is their choosing. Worst that can happen is the other member says "No thanks", same as today.

I'll share a few rules and guidelines, but ultimately how this works is up to all of us.

1. Each of us looking for cards to complete our sets will make one post with all our set needs. List out specific sets and card numbers. Please don't ask "I need 2015 Donruss" and ask people to PM you for the specifics. Let's make this as easy as possible on the ones digging through their monster box of commons.

2. As the needs are filled, please keep your post updated. Do not create a new list in a new post, just edit the original post to keep a consolidated list.

3. If you see a post where you can help (fill their set needs), PM the person, confirm they still need the cards, get their address, and mail. Post in the thread "Triplelutz42 sending package to member XXXXXX". By posting this information in the thread, we'll see the members who regularly send vs. those that are using this to get free cards.

4. Upon receipt, the receiver will leave positive feedback for the sender. Receiver should not get feedback in this transaction. Senders, please include your username in the shipment.

5. Receiver will update their list to reflect the revised list.

6. If you've updated your original list in the original post, then bump the thread saying "Triplelutz updated needs list in post ##" and hopefully someone will see your list and contact you with any help they can give.

7. If you do negotiate for $$ compensation or 1 to 1 trading, please keep those discussions through PM.

8. If the condition of the cards is important to you, indicate that in your opening post. For example, I'm pretty particular about centering. If it's not well centered, I'd rather not have it and will continue to look.

9. PWE is acceptable if both parties agree. Personally, if I'm sending out 30 cards to an individual I'll spring for the bubble mailer and first class shipping. Knowing that I'll likely get 30 cards in return in a bubble mailer first class from another member to help with my set needs.

If this doesn't sound like something you'd be interested in, you don't have to participate. I'm not sure I have to say this, but being around the forums for as long as I have, I'll do it anyway: Triplelutz42 assumes no liability for any deals gone wrong!!
