Just got this back from TCC. What a disappointment.
I wrote to them to see if there is anything they can do. Has anyone had a good/bad experience with them in regards to refunds or them taking care of you if the autograph is like this? Thanks.

Either they didn't prep the pen or you didn't prep your card and take off the gloss before sending.

That’s terrible. I would be just as pissed about that as I was after seeing that movie.

I am not usually fussy about autos as long as the ink is bold, but that is weak.

Update: TCC offered to have me send the card back in and for Daisy to "trace" her signature---provided her agent even allows for this.
I wrote them back and said I'd either like a full refund or I'll send them another card and they can do it again the right way at no charge. Will update when they reply. At least their response time has been pretty good.

LOL yeah tracing it will set it up for it to never be deemed authentic.
New card or cash back. And personal preference I dont like it across the top of her forehead. |

Update: TCC is saying Ridley's agent will offer to either:
-have her trace the signature -re-do it completely but I have to provide a new card (which costs about $80-$100) plus send in the damaged one Definitely don't want her to trace her signature. But I don't think I should have to shell out $100 because of their mistake.

This is why I've pretty much have sworn off these signings. SWAU messed up the sticker placement on a few cards I sent in, prices are getting ridiculous, the talent is getting lazier and lazier, and the companies seem to not give a poop.
100% agree, tracing is ridiculous and no matter what, it'll look bad, and having to shell out $100 to fix their mistake, nope, that's a no from me dawg. Only way I'd do that is if I got a $100 credit towards another signing in the future. |

I don't think you will end up keeping the first card and receive a second autograph. The agent or TCC isn't going to acquire a new topps living card and have her sign it so at this point I'd just work towards a partial refund if you want to keep the card. Another idea is ask if they would just have her sign it a second time under Rey's face.

Better than they offered me on my Harrison ford signing, sent in 2 CGC 9.8 comics, one came back a 9.4 and the other a 7.5 due to a ‘slice’ on the back cover. I got nothing out of them.

I'm sure the company is sorry it happened, and is trying to make it right. The re-trace the signature doesn't seem like a crazy option - basically for her to sign over her current sign with a thicker bleed pen, so it looks complete. You cited concerns w/ getting it authenticated if you did, but I don't think that'd be a problem. As far as not liking the placement of her sig, that would have existed if her sig was bold or not. The Rey Skywalker part is pretty sick. So it comes down to - for the cost of a new card (doesn't have to be the same one, it would seem) - new auto, maybe in a better spot - or get her thicker auto over top of the current one, which shouldn't be a problem with authenticating if you have paperwork to send when getting it authenticated. Heck, I'm not even sure you'd need to have it authenticated if you're just PCing it. Anyway, sorry it happened, but all things considered, those are pretty reasonable options. Perhaps suggest to them a third option: a refund on monies paid and you get to keep the poorly signed card. Have you inquired about that at all?

Still in talks with TCC. At least the owner has been communicating directly with me. Sounds like he's at least sympathetic to the situation.
