There is a VIP Invitation ending in auction. For anyone that has went would you pay this much to go back or is it more of a want to do it once type of event?

He kept a few cards from the swag bag they gave each attendee and told me to sell the rest to recoup the ticket and flight I paid for. All in, I netted about $2,600 after fees. So $1,000 for the ticket and about $400 for his flight to Baltimore. Would 100% pay that amount again in a heartbeat to do it a 2nd time. But at the current price of that listing? No. Going to Baltimore last year was special because he took me to a game there in 1997 to see the Mariners vs the Orioles. It was my chance to return the favor 27 years later and host him this time around.

Agreed. Have a Jose Ramirez base card, but can’t find anything online showing this pic.

Kinda random question, I know but: Has anyone ever opened a case of transcendent and gotten a VIP party invitation in it? If so, did it feel like the rest of the case was weaker, i.e., did it feel like the invitation was the case hit or replaced the case hit?

Do we know if this is locked in? Are their dates set yet? I'm thinking of giving it a go. I can get to SF, but it depends on the dates. The RSVP deadline is coming up soon.

So Victor Scott II has base & image variations in this box, but no signature cards on the checklist....But I have seen several signature cards of his from this set. I assume they were most likely part of the VIP party items, is that correct?

The only base autos I've seen from the VIP party are four different Bonds (BB1-4), and maybe a Buster Posey (BP-2, though I can't verify right now). I made a spreadsheet of cards that popped up on eBay after the party was held because I was collecting the base set autos and wanted to add the VIP autos. I stopped searching, though, which is why my info is old and I can't pull up any old eBay sales from that time. |

Would not be unusual for them to put 'base set' cards into the VIP bags that were not actually in the retail product (presumably because they weren't returned in time to be packed out). Buster Posey from a few years back (2022 maybe?) comes to mind.

Yes it looks like a Transcendent card but as you said it's not in the checklist. Is it numbered something like TCA-VC? What does it say on the back?
The Bonds cards I was talking about that were VIP cards looked the same as the main set cards but were numbered differently, and said VIP on the back. Here's a base set card: https://ebay.us/m/psZI2A And here's a VIP card: https://ebay.us/m/Wi2nZM Sorry, I can't be more help. I didn't attend the VIP party, I just was trying to collect the set. |
