I happened to be near a Target for the first time in months, popped in, and found 5 Blasters and a single lonely pack in a a box - wonder how many fingernail divots the edges have...

Anyway, $150 for 5 blasters cant be much worse than $269 for a Hobby Box, right? Right? =)

Havent bought any retail since one S2 Mega box last year. I'm preparing to be underwhelmed, but will enjoy ripping some Bowman for the first time since 2019.

For those wondering, Bowman anime PR is 615ish, base spotlights PR is 125

The spotlights parallel design is definitely improved, the parallel color covers most of the card instead of being contained to the spotlight like 2023. Back corner condition is pretty tough with the black bezel.

Doesn't make sense.
Spotlight gold refractor 1:17,571
Spotlight orange refractor 1:7,126

Did everyone on the checklist not get a gold refractor parallel?

Seems like blasters would be about as good of value as you can expect with Bowman.

Curious to how things go with your 5. Good luck!

Oranges (and base) are exclusive to hobby format while golds are included in all formats except HTA. The math is just orange odds (7,126) / base odds (1,441), then multiplied by the number of orange (25). So, ((7126/1441) = 5 (rounded up to nearest whole), and then 5 * 25 = 125

Ah, haven't opened bowman since 2020 that I forgot orange are hobby exclusive.

I love watching the degen breaker delight boxes aka HTA choice boxes with no color - 2x base and refr /499 for the low low price of $600.

Bought a single box. Pretty damn good box I’d say.

So sorry I prevented all the great discussion about the product. I refuse to believe people here are so easily offended that they won’t talk about something they want to talk about. The board is dead because the products suck. Not because the talk about the products sucks.
Khal, you were successfully baited into an argument by trolls claiming rampant negative commenting in this thread. Why this was done, I have no idea -- on the release date of this product, of all days. Only a small percentage of comments in this thread would be characterized as negative.

Lol How do explain Reddit's popularity with younger people?:

Quote:
According to a survey of U.S. adults conducted at the beginning of 2023, 44 percent of respondents who indicated using Reddit were aged between 18 and 29 years old. Reddit usage tends to be affected by users’ age, with older users reporting lower levels of engagement.

Of course, a lot of those "users" could be bots, like with Twitter, but the point still stands.

Yes, Reddit is a modern platform. Blowout is an outdated BBC message board type. That was my point. This type of platform is a dying breed in favor of more modern types of social media. Thanks for making my point.

Uh, no, they are both forums. You did not distinguish between the software being used.

You are so full of crap, by the way.

I made a 1 sentence tongue in cheek comment. I wasn't giving a dissertation on online forum terminology. Everyone except you knew what I meant. Why don't you take a long walk off a short pier. Why do you insist on following me around to troll my comments? Are you that hard up for human interaction?

Huh? Are you implying I'm stalking you? Lol

You said forum. They are both forums. You wanted to distinguish between forums and other types of social media, like Facebook, X, YouTube and TikTok.

I said message board. Not forum. If you're going to troll, at least get it right.

I know I'm going to have to make an adjustment eventually, but I, for one, will be sad to see this type of message board die. I used it for poker and now for cards. In both cases they were helpful to my development.

I think it's going to take a solid recession to readjust box prices. That's what I thought heading into 2020. It didn't quite work out like I thought it would. The opposite, in fact. The next one won't have as much stimmies, so should correct prices. Hopefully anyways.

At this point it feels like Fanatics knows they are towards the end of the cycle and are just gouging the remaining customers. It's kind of like when the MLB team loses 110 games they jack up the price of tickets. They know the marginal fan isn't going to show no matter the price, so get as much from the die-hards as possible.

I'm right there with you. I was only partly joking about the death of the message board. I'm here because this is the type of message board I was used to for decades and I never really took to other types of social media. But we are definitely in the minority these days.
