Default Is it time to add Profar to the list?

Of failed prospects? Has not shown any light in the MLB and is now 24. Sure, he could miraculously turn it around but his time is closing in. His cards tanked long ago. Funny looking back to when these guys were the end all be all.

Hobby wise? Yeah, probably. Even if he has a resurgence like Byron Buxton, the below average play for a sustained period of time to start his career still sticks in peoples' minds.

Reality wise? I'm thinking he won't be a perennial all-star any time soon.

No, but he's had 4 different chances at the big league level, and he's been sent back down each time. Hell, he's had more than twice the AB's of former mega-prospect Fernando Martinez, who had his last AB at 24.

I think Profar's done in Texas, at the very least.

He needs a change of scenery. It's that simple.

This

Only 24, only about 600 ABs in bigs and had some success.

Tim Beckham is doing well this year and I think everyone had this conversation about him recently.

I think Profar has been added to this list for awhile now.

Profar does far more harm than good on the field. Just pull the plug already.

His last chance should be a change of scenery. Texas should do the kid a favour and trade him.

I think most teams could well be stocked with light hitting middle infielders in their minor leagues. It reminds me of the phrase "now profiles as a DH, so they should trade him"

Watching him in the WBC, I'm pretty sure he wants to lose.

LOL. Mazara just turned 23 and has a 124 OPS+ so far this year. Yes a small sample size, but come on now.
