Tecate, Modelo, and Bud Light

To miller light: why not just drink water to cut out the carbs?

I love craft beer, and here in Ohio we get some great brands from all over the country (my favorites are Bell's, Founders, Great Lakes, Troegs, Victory, Dogfish Head, Stone, Sierra Nevada...)

I'm a hophead, so I love IPAs. But I love a good porter, stout, and barleywine as well.

That's it. We are going drinking here in Ohio.

My favorite "all the time" beer is Bells Two Hearted.

I've recently been drinking alot of Hop Notch.

The Great Lakes Double IPA (name escapes me) is amazing but 2 will put you on your ass.

My favorite "somtimes" IPA is Dogfish Aprihop - just enough apricot to not be a girls beer - and still a large ABV.

My favorite probably Ohio brewery is Fat Heads - which I think is underrated.

Oh yeah, Ohio has great distribution when it comes to good beer, that's for sure.

Bell's Two-Hearted is great. It's a little on the sweeter-side for an IPA and isn't too bitter, but that is why a lot of people love it. Personally, I usually prefer an IPA with a pretty dry finish (like Stone IPA).

Great Lakes produces 2 double IPAs - Lake Erie Monster & Alchemy Hour. Both are fantastic, but yes, at around 9% ABV, if you drink more than a couple, you're gonna be lying down somewhere afterwards.

Fat Heads is known for their HeadHunter IPA. It's dry hopped with Simcoe hops and has won many awards in the last couple of years.

Alchemy Hour is the one I prefer - I'm not as into the Lake Erie Monster - maybe I've just had too many in my day.

I know I've got a 4 pack of HeadHunter in my fridge now.

I'm a craft beer snob, I fully admit it. Can't stand the major brands they don't even compare. And living in San Diego I can get so many local craft beers I really never have to settle for big brand stuff. My personal favorite is Ballast Point, they are growing more and more all the time. The Yellowtail Pale Ale is my favorite.

Also can't go wrong with Karl Strauss Brewery, and I like some Stone Brewery beers not all of them though.

The Ballast Point IPA is really good, as is the Gren Flash IPA.

I need to try more Green Flash, it's the next big thing in San Diego looks like. I had one I didn't like, but it was some beer I don't normally like anyway so unfair to judge them on that one.
