1964, 1996, and 2005 designs.....only one of which I like.

Might buy a few singles, but won't be buying any boxes.

This is....not for me. Really haven't liked the look and parallel approach in Archives for a few years now, which sucks as I used to love ripping this.

The problem is that Topps/Fanatics doesn't understand what made this product popular....i.e. the 50's/60/s/70's/80's designs.

Topps designs went off a cliff after 1990.....

My general rule of thumb has been that I buy enough boxes to build the set if I like two out of the three designs......this year, 1964 is the only design I like, so it's an easy pass.

You know, a kid that started collecting in 1990 has a lot more to spend in 2025 and has a fondness for those designs

They might have a fondness for Upper Deck/Donruss/Fleer designs from that era, but Topps flagship designs from roughly 1991 to 2009 were absolutely atrocious.

True -- 90s Bowman has much more memorable and popular designs than 90s Topps. 2000s Topps, on the other hand, has some popular designs.

Hmm, not liking the insert designs.

Of course, it will be auto checklist dependent.

This used to be one of may favorite products to open, particularly the peripheral set theme they used to have annually.

Now the product is a shell of itself at double the cost.

It’s unfortunate.

Checklist is posted. Fan Favorites section (the typical box finds) not very pretty in may view.

This set no longer feels necessary in its current state with what Fanatics has turned it into. The sets from the last half of the 2010’s with the Major League, Bull Durham, Sandlot, and Will Ferrell subsets were fun and showed that Topps cared about what we think and want.

I agree with all of this. I always did a case of Archives each year, but last year will be my last. It’s a cool concept when/if executed properly

Same, Im still working on a "master set" for 2022 Archives, with everything that was non numbered/non auto and already finished everything including the sp's up to 380 and the inserts. Still got about 3/4 variations to lock down, but working on the big minis at the moment during the off season.

To me the 2022 set was the last one I really enjoyed and didn't get into in 2023 or 2024 and will only be buying the PC singles once the new prices wears after about 6 months cause this doesn't look enticing at all.

I swear that Fanatics hates their customer base and does exactly the opposite of everything that worked once they take ownership

Yeah, I don’t see any intriguing new names at all.

The “big” names as usual are case hits.

I passed on last year and I’ll pass this year unless they discount it.

Yep....over half the "Fan Favorites" are now rookies!

And I think Rollie Fingers is the only HOFer.

Epic fail.....

Be careful about complaining here.

I was told that we were not allowed to complain until we actually opened a box of the product.

I was also told that the same people go into every single new product thread and complain about the same things, like we could cut and paste our comments.

The best part, I was told that we contribute nothing to a thread by complaining and that our presence here was not deserving, as if other’s posts were more superior to those of complainers comments in some way.

Screw what we were told and complain away!!!!

This product has been ruined!

2024 Topps Archives only had 2 HOFers on the Fan Favorites checklist (Ted Simmons & Goose Gossage) and over half the names were rookies so not really much difference from 2024 to 2025. I'm not saying the checklist is great, just that it is pretty much in line with last year.

OK thanks. Weird it's not on Topps or anywhere else for that matter.

I'll have to spend my time appreciating the Sandlot set I built in 2018
instead of opening this one.

Yes, these designs stink. I only like the stand up inserts. 2nd year in a row I’m out on Archives.

Oddly enough, the featured card is something I'll go after. Being an A's fan, I own both the Eric Chavez and Nick Swisher 2005 Chrome Superfractors. Would like to get a nice Kurtz to go with them.

The name font looks wrong on the 2005 Kurtz pictured. The letters are too close together.

I hope Verlander has a card in this, and it's a 2005.
