Default Harrison Ford send in

So I am planning to send in some comics and trading cards. Are chrome cards ok for a signature or does the chrome coating cause issues? Would you send in a Topps sealed 1983 Topps Return of the Jedi Back Color Key Set. card #195
This is the card on Ebay where the front of the card is blank. It just has the back of the card. Thought it would be nice to get it signed. Any thoughts?

Paper cards are better for signing. Not a fan of your Topps vault blank back idea.

I’m also not a fan of your choice. But it is a hobby and it’s your choice that matters… poor taste be darned.

Chrome cards are doable for sigs, but less ideal than regular cards. At times they can be streaky almost like signing on glass. Was actually going through this same question in my head regarding 92MM Platinum cards getting signed by Jusko.

I had these sigs on chrome cards and they seem more or less fine. I wouldn’t let the fact is chrome completely deter you…but generally paper or paper/foil is better.

So, would any Star Wars comics signed by Ford need to have him on the cover. Sorry if it's a stupid question. I really have no idea what constitutes what you should get signed.

For aesthetics and just to make sense, any Star Wars comic you get signed should have Han Solo featured prominently on the cover.

Or you could just buy a couple of these to get signed:

I have a really killer sketch cover (hand-painted/drawn on a blank comic front) by Jennifer Allyn that I'm considering sending in.

You can get a chrome card signed, but you should prep it first to make sure the auto doesn't end up streaking. Rub the card down with baby powder or an eraser. You can google "prepping card for signature" for more information and instructions on how to do it.

It’s nice that, as crazy as things in this hobby have become since 2018, his prices have only risen $25-$100 depending on the item type since then. I balked last time but now is the time to finish my Birthday Cake (Star Wars is 1 year old) poster. Can’t take a chance that there will ever be another opportunity.

Are you going to have a sketch drawn on the blank around the signature?

Are you planning to spend $900 each? That's a bunch.

That's that plan. My kids aren't smart enough for college, so I get to spend their money.

I like the comic book sketch cover idea. I'm considering sending in a custom card to sign.

Do they do these things local? I’d be up for trying to spot him in the wild.

The buyback one is too busy for me with all the different actors on it; the auto would get lost, I think. I know it's not my money, but I'd recommend dropping down to 5 items.

Agreed.

I'm also thinking about sending in this comic book and requesting an auto in the space above his blaster pistol:

It would be funny if it comes back signed to the left of the UPC box.
