Houdini Breaks

Hey just wondering did Houdini quit breaking. I kinda miss his breaks. I always enjoyed the 100 caser in BOWMAN prducts. It has saved me alot money probably

district isn't a competitor. It's just a website like amazon, etsy, ebay, etc. They were using district even when they were here.

I got a email from JB saying he was doing small breaks and took over from Houdini for awhile. Sounded like they stopped breaking on Fanantics

Houdini is on a break. JB has taken over and renamed it Cobie's Cards and Comics. Mostly he's on Twitter and the District, breaking on You Tube. They were no longer able to get the allocation from years past and tried Fanatics Live. It went ok, but not great. But yeah, he's taking a break from breaking.

I was in JB’s HHN breaks this morning. It was the first reasonable deal I’ve seen for a random team break in a long time. I missed them when they left BO. I won’t open a fanatics Live account so I had to stop joining their breaks for that entire period. Glad to see the return. I will continue to miss the large Bowman Breaks from Houdini and Dave on here. Only breaks I’ve found to be similar are Hobby Legends heavily shilled breaks.

Was just organizing my collection today and came across some duds from the 100 casers of years past. Those were the absolute best, even if my guys didn’t pan out!

I got the same email you did.

I always got the feeling that H brought JB in to eventually take over.

The way JB worded that email and mentions of taking over the email list and to join his list feels like H is out for good with the occasional cameo maybe.

His twitter had switched to Cheap Coolectibles a while back and now JB has taken it over and rebranded @CobiesCards. I asked him why Cobies and it's his name. Jacobie Bryant Brooks.

I've gotten into a couple breaks on Fanatics Live and they just felt gross for the most part. A bunch of "LFG!!!!!!!" exclamations, breakers having no idea about the sports, just bad vibes...

Back in the day, you could walk into little side-street casinos in Vegas and find these awful small hotel casinos. It's pretty similar to that. You look around and there's still cards/slots/lights/drinks but on closer inspection there's half a dozen drifters passed out in opiate hazes at the slots and your single-deck Blackjack dealer sure seems to be taking an unhealthy shine to your watch.

Edit: I guess what I'm saying is I miss Houdini and J Brooks.

Hope there will be the next person (I don't like saying next Houdini because there's only and one Houdini) to break Bowman & Transcendent cases for all of us. I highly doubt it.

That would be awesome but BO doesn't get the allocation they used to get. Fanatics wants everyone on Fanatics Live if they want product.

Eventually the fanatics breakers will have an industrial shredder next to them and they'll open the cards take out the hits and the rest goes into the shredder.

During Hobby Legends’ 40 case break on release day the breaker said they get most of their cases from BO. After the 40 caser, they have done 2 20 casers, a few 10 casers, and several 3-5 case breaks. I believe BO still gets a large amount but there are breakers that are willing to pay much more than H would to break through BO’s forums. Where does this person break? I’d love to follow to get into the larger breaks. I miss the 100 caser!

They run auctions through eBay only. I hear that they were on Fanatics Live at one point but left. They will probably have a 50-caser for 2025 Bowman.
