People have lost their damn minds over this product. Heard there have been some fights out there at retail outlets.
Brings back good memories of 2020-21 when the flipper were fighting it out in the aisles of Walmart and Target to get whatever was put on the shelf.

I would imagine retail stores will just say to heck with it and not sell cards anymore, ridiculous. Make it online only so the heathens will stay away from the stores.

People were fighting over 151 BW at Costcos yesterday as well. This one guy elbowed an elderly man in the face after taking two sets out of his cart allegedly.

Watched a video today where Target employees just said go and all these adults ran in like madmen. Kids getting pushed out of the way. Was crazy. Why they didn't just line them up and distribute it is beyond me.

I got most of me preorders in today that I got a while back at MSRP but I am moving most of it after seeing the pull rates. Was looking forward to opening it too but 1 in a 1000 packs to hit an Eeveelutions which is all I really care about? No thanks.

I'll keep the case of PC ETBs I have coming and two cases of regular ETBs and buy singles. Brutal watching some of these openings.

Got my PC ETBs today. Will just case and hold. They’ll be at $300-400 per in 6 months.

I’ll buy up some Terastal to rip with my boys for cheap and grab any more PE at retail when I find it. No rush, no need to go toe to toe with these goons.

Will they really get that high? I'm not into pokemon, but I knew my son was going to be lining up at gamestop to try and get some...I started looking at Target online around midnight and saw it available...kept not letting me check out and then eventually i was able to check out twice...figured i would just give them to him

The exclusive Pokémon Center ETBs, yes.

Regular retail, no. But even those are at $110-$135 per right now.

My local toy store
He made a video of how he would be selling the new Pokemon product. He had 3 different items including the Trainer Box.
2 items per weekend (he is only open on the weekends during the offseason) and only 1 of each item, so you couldn't buy 2 trainer boxes today.
I showed the vid to a young co worker who buys Pokemon stuff for his wife. I asked him if he wanted a box and I would buy it.
So I go in and grab a box and Historic Autographs box for me.
The owner takes off the cellophane wrapping, per his rules and regs.
The Trainer Box was $60. No selling it at market because he wants as many different people as possible to get the product and he wants then to get it because they want it and not to make a quick.
I bough the 30th of the 32 Trainer Boxes he had.

It released here in Japan a few months ago. Nintendo has already announced its being reprinted into oblivion so no need to hurry.

Why would people want this product to be printed into oblivion? In my opinion it is narrow minded thinking because of recency bias. Do people really want Pokemon to turn into Panini or Fanatics? How is that working for the sportscard market. Look at history! EvoSkies was printed and reprinted multiple times. 151 was printed and reprinted multiple times. If the product is desired, Pokémon is worldwide, it will not matter.

I 100% want them to print this year into oblivion and I agree because long run it won't matter. Been listening to influencers for years saying how reprints are going to kill value all the way back at Roaring Skies and it just doesn't matter.

Pokemon printed almost 12 billion cards in 2023. Not sure about in 2024 but they print more Pokemon cards in a year than all the sports cards that have been made in the entire hisotry of sports cards I believe.

Turn the printers on full blast and flood the market. It won't matter long term. I don't think $600 for a booster box case is coming back anytime soon but paying $900 for one I am not a fan of.

Yes very similar pull rate to pulling a Gold Star from the EX stuff - except there are 32 different possible gold stars LOL So if perfectly collated you would only need to open about 240ish ETBs to get a master set. Don't know if you would get all the Master Balls though...

I was able to as well, as I kept trying for my kid..only got 2 boxes, but hoping target doesn't cancel them
