Not a choice I would have made, but it's his card, yeah?

Maybe if you have enough $$$ you just do what makes you happy.

100%. That signature defaces a beautiful card. He has other cards signed by Brady I imagine, why ruin a 1/1?

Is it possible to wipe the signature still? The kid or next owner should look into it. Or would that be considered altered?

Lmao, reminds me of the time I went to a comic con and had a picture of Johnny from Karate Kid gut punching Daniel-san as he grimaces. I had Billy Zabka inscribe it "The Real Karate Kid- William Zabka" and just had Ralph Macchio inscribe "ughhhhh!- Ralph Macchio"

Wasn’t there also a Derek Carr/Herbert card like that too?

Reminds me of the guy that got the Flawless Jimmy G card signed. Thought that was dumb but it’s their card.

Dude is lucky he didn’t get the recent Tom Brady auto angry skribble

The card is no longer in its original pack-issued form.

That guy just committed a major hobby crime.

I don’t think even Jefferson Burdick would take such a hardline approach to the sanctity of “pack issued” integrity.

Do cards belong to their owners or to the hobby as a whole?

The owner can do whatever he wants to the card. He can rip it in half or flush it down the toilet, he bought it.

However, if he intends to ever resell it one day, he just lost at least half of his potential customer base because he defaced the 1/1 masterpiece card. Even if it was by Brady.

I would no longer have any interest in it if I was a potential buyer for his 1/1 masterpiece. It really is a travesty imo.

Jefferson Burdick was smarter than this and would be on our side. I know his relatives he was sensible with his collectibles.

The real question is does this fall under the jurisdiction of the Hobby FBI or BO Local Authorities?
