Don’t see a thread yet and this product is scheduled to release in late April. Looks like debut of signed cards from hasbulla so could be a fun product.

Even before it came out he likes to get his rocks off abusing cats I never got the appeal of this little fella.

Bad timing for Panini lol
Luckily for them to much less fanfare they did announce Alex Pereira rookies/autos will also be in the product the next day |

Watch him lose on Saturday and his cards drop 50% in value before they’re even released lol.

![]() Especially since rookies do seem to be a big focus of the Panini era, compared to other sports or even WWE it seems everyone wants the Paddy's or Khamzat's but guys like GSP, Tito Ortiz, aren't insanely valuable and even guys like Connor aren't completely unaffordable. Being third year Prizm if he does lose and there isn't another rookie chase to fill the void, could be a rough rip |

I was collecting at series 1 too. For that community, it was actually a bit embarrassing. Card collecting just recently became an acceptable hobby. I actually mailed a Forrest series 1 card to his gym which he promptly signed and sent back. Also received Amir Sadollah, Jim and Dan Miller, and Dan Henderson. Liddell is the only one that didn't return one. Those cards were far superior to this junk. |

It's also not like Topps was producing one UFC set a year lol, 2020 had three, 2019 had three and 2021 Panini had four, and supply still outdid demand as Striking Signatures the last set I remember being discounted almost everywhere.
Topps just got stuck having the License right before the boom lol and you could tell they were just kind of calling it in the last year knowing it was gone similar to Panini now with redemptions etc with them losing their licenses in other sports. |

Quite true... Topps was definitely phoning it in at the end but those releases were considerably smaller at least
This is why I expected more from Panini... especially with the lucky timing coming in at the boom. But the result has been more hype than sizzle. At least the first 5-7 years of releases from Topps were reasonably good... and they didn't totally use release/set names & themes already used with other sport releases. They tried to make the UFC cards distinct. Regardless... past is the past... and the future is Fanatics (uugghh). Hence why I focus on the early Topps UFC cards. 1st lic cards, more distinct, broader types of sets/cards and lower production runs. Quote:

FOTL tomorrow and no one cares. This probably has less anticipation than WWE Prizm, I may actually believe "the fix is in" if this doesn't get to/near floor. Between the Hesbulla thing, Pereira losing when he would probably be the next "chase" rookie behind Paddy last year and Khamzat before that, and some of the fighters with recent big wins having zero hobby love (Gilber Burns, Alexa Grasso) set already seems dead in the water. I mean it didn't even get a Blowout First Buzz lol
Interesting they are following the WWE blueprint with a H2/Undercard box though with undercard base variations. The WWE ones are of different characters the wrestler portrayed than their base card so it'll be interesting what they do for UFC, maybe younger/rookie era photos? Which would be cool imo |

Floor is $250 on FOTL.
Just took a quick look at the checklist. I'm probably missing a few but the names that stood out as far as rookies go seem to be Rosas, Blanchfield, Nickal, Pereira and Maddalena. Anybody else? |

These could also make waves in the future, but won't sell a product: Murzakanov Jailton Malhadinho Tatsuro Taira Karine Silva Javid Basharat Rinat Fakhretdinov Muhammad Mokaev Aliaskhab Khizriev Josiane Nunes and then someone like Ulberg, Pyfer, Phil Rowe, and Medic could get an exciting win or two. |

Anyway, not sure I can bring myself to pull the trigger even if this gets to floor. That said, the prices that some 2022 rookies are going for is really surprising to me so maybe I'm wrong. |

The rookies are underwhelming for sure also. Azamat Murzakanov probably has the biggest name/potential, but is older. His last win proved he's legit IMO. Malhadinho - One big win, but appears to be legit. Tatsuro Taira - Japanese grappler they are bringing up slowly Karine Silva - female grappler. not sure how legit Javid Basharat - Exciting fighter - check out his fights even though they are decision wins. Rinat Fakhretdinov - no big wins yet, but looks to be a force. Muhammad Mokaev - young and exciting and already has legit wins. i'd buy Aliaskhab Khizriev - good record, but not very active, so i'm unsure Josiane Nunes - good female striker. not sure how elite or not. |

And coming back to the RC predictions: Prices of oranges /99: Jack Della M. $10 Bo Nickal $150 Murzakanov $2 (still undefeated) Taira $90 (still undefeated) Malhadinho $10 est (lost 1) Karine Silva $15-20 (ufc undefeated) Basharat $20 (lost last fight) Fakhretdinov $15 est (1 draw) Muhammad Mokaev $30 est (undefeated) Khizriev $5 (undefeated) Josiane Nunes $10 (1 loss) Wish I followed my own advice! But still puts into perspective how overpriced stuff is.
