Default Justin Fields Thread

Very optimistic about Justin’s future with a new coach and offensive cordinator. Last year the coaching utilized his biggest strength in running the RPO 2% of the time! How absolutely insane!

Card wise it seems some of his stuff is overpriced, some under, but I personally think Justin has more upside then anyone in the class.

Anyone in here collect fields or have any predictions on his growth? It’s only training camp so far but he has been described as ‘dazzling’.

Thanks all!

Dave

Fields is good, but his team is not. Years of having so few draft picks is still hindering this team. It's still early, but Fields should prove his worth well before it's time to exercise or decline the team's fifth year option.

That was Nagy beuing Nagy. Mitch has put him on blast plenty for forcing his QBs to play his game. Instead of designing a game plan to fit the strengths of his QBs.

It seems the new regime is going to cater to what Justin does best.

I wouldn't say I am sold on him, but he does have talent.

Really is a shame Nagy couldn't get out of his own way.

As a Bears fan I'm hoping he does great for us. As a collector I've picked up low end inserts and base cards for the hobby enjoyment but certainly no major money.

Yup. I know Ryan Pace got blown up as the GM. But the moves he made to build the team were mostly solid. His biggest mistake, was handing the team over to Nagy. Who just refused to do anything except push his own agenda.

Pace got Mitch, who I still think is talented. Before Nagy went Nagy, Mitch made the Pro Bowl by playing his game as a rookie. Nagy ruined that.

Pace knew Aikeem Hicks from back when he was with the Saints. Adding Hicks was a great move.

Pace drafted Roquan, and got us Mack. Picked Eddie Jackson and Cohen in the 4th round, which was a great value. And he brought in Allen Robinson and Robert Quinn.

If Pace would have just promoted Fangio to HC, let him turn over the reigns for offense to someone not named Nagy. And let Pace continue adding talent. It would have been a completely different team.

Disagree with Pace. He overvalued some players and overpaid in terms of draft capital to get them. Overall his 1st and 2nd round picks were awful.

Fields is going to be great IMO. Has the right mentality and all the talent needed to succeed. People with his amount of talent and work ethnic usually excel unless something freaky happens.

Have you watched any Bears Games Start to Finish that Fields Played in? I have not gotten the Right Mentality to Succeed at all from him.

I totally get people being so down on Pace. But he was building a team to win now. And that is what happens. You pay the stars, and you trade picks for players that can help you win now.

Once he moved on from John Fox, the team was 12-4 and lost a heart breaker in the playoffs. Everything was set, except for Nagy tanking the team.

Once that happened, and Mitch regressed, everything Pace did became a negative because the money was then wasted.

I don't know many QBs who would have succeeded in that offense with that playcalling and personnel last year.

Pump it up!

Zach Wilson is apparently being outperformed by Joe Flacco while fields is “dazzling”.

If he was on any other team, I'd probably be more optimistic about his future. Chicago is Quarterback Purgatory

But that would leave Cleveland as the sole proprietor of the hit nightclub Quarterback Purgatory.

Truly a rock and a hard place conundrum for him :/

Deshaun will be starting soon to help ease his Brownie QB pain. Could be a good next few years for him.

I wouldn’t even risk a redemption from Panini at this point. Even if he’s your PC guy.

As a Bears fan, I am desperately hoping Fields does well.

Because of this, I am not buying Fields cards at all.

I am happy to be wrong and miss out on great buying opportunities if Fields becomes the franchise QB we've been looking for since before color TV?

I'd like to see more energy and personality from Fields during interviews or on the sidelines. He looked unhappy last year, maybe Nagy was buggin him. Early success with new coaches would give a big boost of confidence.

I expect him to outperform Trey Lance in the first home game, and perform strong, but lose against the Packers in Green Bay during Week 2. Week 3 is a winnable against the Texans at home. A 2-1 start is needed at a minimum.

Should have traded Fields for Baker. He has what you are into
