Welcome to Blowout's 20 Case 2021 Bowman Baseball LIGHTNING player auction. 10 Hobby cases, 10 Jumbo cases.

What is a player auction?

Well, a player auction is very similar to a player draft break - except you bid on the spots that you want similar to any auction online. The few differences are: 1. forum posts are used to bid and 2. the bidding deadline is usually not set until the auction has reached (or nearly reached) the break even point.

We understand that player auctions are not for everyone - so please feel free not to join.

For your bids to count, you MUST include the card # and name where applicable. I might not allow a bid without these - especially the last hour.

Bids are in $2.00 minimum increments until the spot reaches $20.00 and then $5.00 minimum increments after $20.00. Once a spot reaches $200, bid increments become $10. Please, whole dollar bids only (no $5.01 bids). Please no +5 bids. (Because someone could bid $100 at the same time and therefore your bid becomes +105?) You can bid more than $2/$5/$10, but that is the minimum.

Any bid made with change ($5.86, $100.99, etc) will be rounded up to the next whole dollar. Please only make whole dollar bids.

There is a minimum bid set for each spot already. Bids are in $2.00, $5.00, or $10.00 minimum increments. You may certainly bid more than the minimum.

Shipping - Shipping is extra, but we will do our best to charge you actual shipping. We will combine shipping based on your final lots as well. We can ship approximately 500 cards for $8.00 priority mail. If your total exceeds $250, we need to add $2.45 for signature confirmation. We can ship approximately 1000 cards medium flat rate. International is extra and may need signature. In some instances of very high bids, I may require express shipping, but if you are in that situation, you won't care.

Supplies - $2 per spot. Supplies are extra.

Paypal Fees - $0.30 plus 2.9% for US. $0.40 plus 3.9% international.

Warning - If you pick an auto, you may get nothing. If that player has 100 autos, you get all 100; if that player gets 0 autos, you get 0. Same is true for all other spots.

Sniping - If you wait until the last minute, you may miss out. Fair warning.

Bidding - Please understand that you must include the card # where applicable. Bids without the card # may not count. Please do not edit your post though. If you made a mistake, simply post again with the correction. Please bid in at least the minimum increment ($2.00 or $5.00 once a spot reaches $20.00 or $10.00 once a spot reaches $200). You may not retract your bid unless it is an obvious error (like a $4000 bid instead of $40.00).

I have other breaks happening at the same time but I will guarantee you an average of at least 3 cases a day. I will start out breaking early in the day and end up doing all night breaks. I have 150 cases to open.

Shipping time - I will keep you updated as I go. I will have teams doing all the sorting, packaging, and shipping.

What comes with each spot?

Hobby: 12 boxes per case, 24 packs per box, 10 cards per pack. 1 auto per box, 12 autos per case, 120 hobby autos this break.

Jumbo: 8 boxes per case, 12 packs per box, 32 cards per pack. 3 autos per box, 24 autos per case, 240 jumbo autos this break.

Chrome Prospect Autographs: You get every prospect auto for that spot including all parallels & plates. It does not include insert autos of any kind.

Chrome Player Lots: You get every card for that spot including all parallels & ALL plates (plates for chrome & paper). It does not include inserts of any kind. Die Cuts are numbered differently - find them as a lot in the insert section.

Colored Paper: If you win the corresponding slot, you get every card from this parallel.

Paper Base: Please contact me via houdinishiphelp@gmail.com to purchase all 150 cases worth. Put "PAPER BID" in the title.

Insert Lots: You get every parallel and auto (if listed) for your insert lot.

Unannounced cards, hits, parallels: If there is an unannounced color in the auto or non-autoed chrome spots, they will go to the player lots (auto or non). If there is a whole insert set, it will be added to the auction. Anything like the pink set redemption cards or player draft day caps will be decided on an individual basis. Remember, you get what you are bidding on only. If you have a question about what is or is not included, ask - blind assumptions will not be honored. If we hit a golden ticket, we will deal with it separately.

Special Rules for this Break (By joining this break, you agree to these rules!)

1. If you hit a card worth $1000 or more, we will ask you to pay for Express Mail shipping & insurance.

2. As ALWAYS, the host reserves the right to limit who is allowed in the break.

5. The host DOES have a spot. If this bothers you in any way, please do not join. All breaks are done LIVE and recorded.

6. Once you receive your cards, please post in the thread that your cards were received. For anything outside the USA, we will provide the customs # as proof of delivery.

7. We strongly encourage you to bid what you are willing to pay. That way, if you are outbid at the last minute, it won't matter since you bid what you were willing to pay.

8. International bidders are fine, but International shipping with tracking is expensive and will be included.

In these large auctions, the autos must carry the lion's share - usually 65% to 75%. The higher the better. If autos get under 60%, your auction is probably going to lose money - at least compared to current prices. My rule of thumb is 70% autos, 20% chrome, 10% inserts/parallels.

Current retail for these cases is $89k. I know, I know, but they would probably get more than $89k in group breaks right now and that's just the truth. If the autos raise $60k to $65k, we are probably good.
