Default ***Official 2019 CHICAGO CUBS Thread***

Haven't seen a thread made for our Cubs season yet...

Anyway, we have pretty much the same team that has won over 90 games the last 4 years, but no big name additions thus far, and it's likely nobody is coming.

We do get Hamels for the whole year and Darvish is healthy. And sounds like they've worked on some of the issues with Chatwood.

So I think if they have health on their side, we should see another season similar to the last.

Oh, and KB opened spring with a 2 run dinger today, so hope he is healthy and will be back to his MVP form all year.

GO CUBS GO!!

That was Awesome to see in the box score.

Sounds like he has a chip on his shoulder this year... using all the stuff the critics are saying to motiviate him.

Hope a few others are doing the same... Schwarber, Happ, Almora, Contreras...etc etc.

I expect Rizzo to bounce back. Would LOVE to see Heyward have a consistent season.

And of course the rotation is SOLID... hope everyone can stay healthy.

Oh yeah... Cable channel next year... Marquee Sports Network. I really hope they show a good portion of spring training games. I know they are meaningless.... but it's just fun watching live baseball in February.

First time in 2019 -

Priced higher?

Bryant was uber hyped coming out of college... it grew when he was in the minors... and it didn't stop once he reached the Cubs

4 year str8 stretch...

College Player of the Year
Minor League Player of the Year
Rookie of the Year
NL Most Valueable Player & World Series Champion - ending a 108 year WS drought for the Cubs

One down year doesn't mean he lost all of that. Sure.. his stuff took a dip... but if he continues to put up games like today... they will rebound.

Kyle Schwarber...the only Cubs player to not score a run today.

As a Braves fan I really hope he can become an All-Star again. Kid is a class act.

Carl Edwards Jr is trash. Can't believe Duensing and Wilson were cut/not signed respectively so this bum can have a spot in the pen.

This has been a VERY VERY odd game.

Cubs off to a 3-0 lead top of first.

Darvish pitched a masterpiece LOL

Quitana pitched 4 innings

And this game is taking a lifetime to complete. About to be 4 hours.

Let's hope we can get some good pitching today. We had that game, but the blowpen let it slip.

Just put my seats together (finally) in hopes of turning this game around. Deshields granny. Eek.

These were my seats from 2014-2018, including the World Series games. Very happy to have them finally replaced. Seat 101 is just a *hair* smaller than 102 so we rotated who got the bad seat. Anyone who has been to Wrigley knows the seats are tight to begin with. An eighth of an inch is a godsend! Hopefully both of my new seats are the same size. I'll find out on the 8th - can't wait!

That grand slam should've never happened. Hamels got robbed on the strikeouts

Man, so far our pitching has not been very good, especially the pen.

Hope we can score a few more.

26 runs scored in 3 games..... 1-2 record.

Sounds right.
