I thought we needed a new thread for this because we haven't talked about Tom Brady recently

Kind of a weird time to end an auction...3:58 AM. I would think that may have cost him a few bucks.

I was watching that Contenders, and actually got up to see what it was doing with about 5 minutes left.
It appeared to be a legit copy (no trimming) but I was obviously hesitant, and decided not to go for it.

I actually took mine out, and measured some areas of the image, and the distance to certain borders to see if I could ascertain if the card was "off" (trimmed) just by measuring the same aspects via the image.
I dunno what I came up with, it was 3am.. but I didnt bid.

It did end at a really odd time, but the user is located in Hawaii, so it was like noon time for them, when it ended.
I do agree that it probably cost them a few bucks, but people are so hesitant about raw copies these day, so Im not surprised.

Still a decent price for a raw copy.. card looks like a 9 if its not altered. thats a 5k card if graded.

so mad I sold my 2 raw bowmans and a raw chrome and didn't pick up a high graded one of each in the last 2 years. I have a UD black graded which is nice and some raw skybox/fleer/impacts and maybe some others

I think I also sold a score and some pacifics and didn't replace.

I do have a nice five star auto though - not rookie obviously.

I sold off a duplicate bowman with a slightly dinged corner for 650 today. Some of the prices today are just crazy, but I felt with condition the price was fair. I need to send the other off for grading, but it is a PC card so there is no real hurry.

LOL try having a Contenders & SPA and Triple Auto & 2 duals with Montana the Score Auto,Press Pass Auto and various other RC's and selling when he peaked on his 3rd SB win..... I did buy another Harley though

So I went w the rookie first here. Several years back. Because rookie cards are the best. Everyone knows this.

But after that, I went w the dreaded 2nd year card, non-rookie. In highest grade possible. Then the rest of the run that’s perfectly centered. Stupid I know. Just hope I recoup some.

Both are going for sale during platinum night. Along with the rest of the signed run. I got my eye on this really sweet Kawasaki 125cc. Hopefully the rookie does well and I land enough funds to close the deal. I do own a Harley rookie card though. 4 actually.

Can we stop now, Goat78911, You win. Rookie cards are kings. Sometimes there are exceptions. Research the ‘64 Curt Flood. Not a rookie, but this man moved markets simply for the joy of it. On a common card. Made it an SP. Then research Bill Davis. 5 rookie cards, not a damn one to himself. Exceptions. Plain ol fun is the most important one of them. Learning is another one. I remember my first beer & touched that hot stove though, too. Even when I was told, it wasn’t a good idea.

Keep plugging away Davey. It’s the journey. Another Exception. I’m here at the finishing line rooting like hell for ya! What’s next though? You’re covered on that ‘15 Fire Forces of Nature.

I used to have an SP Authentic BGS 10...

And a PSA 9.

Haha, I have other Brady's as well! I just always thought the Bowman Chrome RC was underrated/valued. It's nice seeing it rise in value but now I have to open my wallet up a bit wider to acquire more of these
