Default Your thoughts so far from the 2014 draft class this season

How do you think the very hyped 2014 draft class is playing thus far during the 2015-16 season?

It's been a huge disappointment. You have one star- Wiggins. A bunch of injured guys w worlds of talent- exum, embiid, Jabari. Those guys who show flashes- smart and Aaron Gordon, a couple of contributors that most would say are surprises-- hood and lavine then a couple decent contributors-- mirotic, McDermott, clarkson, Payton--- and then a bunch of nothing.

In my opinion the success of the class-- besides Wiggins--- seems to hinge on the oft injured group, the surprises, and the guys who show flashes. Not entirely sure who any of them will turn out to be yet.

Normal. Looks like it was a little overhyped but Wiggins obviously looks like a superstar, Parker is finally back and had a few decent moments, Embiid looks like a bust, and guys like Randle, Payton, Lavine, Hood, McDermott etc etc are having nice little seasons for sophomores.

I think if you look at the last 10 years draft picks, that year was as deep as any with guys like Dwight Powell, Jerami Grant, Kyle Anderson and several others going late 1st round or 2nd round.

I'm going to say it here right now I don't think Embiid will be a post.

Lavine has a chance man. Flashes. You see it and just go... Wow. He has ALL-WORLD athleticism. But does he have the will? The brain? Time will tell.

Lavine is starting to look like the steal of the draft.

I wasn't a big fan of his last year. His play was erratic. His shot selection was horrible.

He has improved tremendously from last year. He's playing smart basketball and if Rubio doesn't show that he can stay healthy, he might be moving into the starting lineup permanently.

I sat fourth row at a Jazz twolves game near the end of last year and lavine had probably the best game of the season. He was unstoppable. Clutch. And clearly another gear than everyone else. With exum and Wiggins on the court, if you didn't know better you'd have thought he was the highest draft rookie. His swagger is awesome too.... Then he opens his mouth......

And it's easy to see why he fell.

It's sad but no player would have benefitted more from a guy like flip than lavine. I hope he makes good choices and that they're able to help him stay out of trouble. I think he could be a super star.
