Default Topps losing their NFL License
Just saw on Twitter that Topps will be losing their NFL License. Anyone have an update or more info?

Mental note. If true, going to stick to buying older Patriots cards whenever possible. Panini is...AWFUL.

I'm sure Panini will come out with a terrible replacement. Panini already releases too many products

I saw that, im following sports card news on twitter, the NFLPA is not releasing a statement right now, neither will Panini

That would be terrible if that happens.......I'm sure if you poll the basketball collectors, 95% of them would say they terribly miss Topps Chrome.

Ughhhh...now being reported that Panini has their fingers on an exclusive deal with the NFL. Get ready for giant type, foil dripping everywhere, and headshots in 50+ overpriced products.

finest & chrome are my favorite 2 products, I hope those don't go away, collecting would definately not be as fun.

Get your Topps Chrome and Finest autos SOLD fast people. Once the brand is gone, the interest in them will also begin to dilute and only the truest of collectors will continue to pursue them.

UD Baseball is a perfect example of what will happen.

This is really going to hurt the hobby. I will probably give up collecting new stuff and go back to picking up older sets. Great job Panini in screwing up the market.

That has nothing to do with the brand being gone, it is people moving on to the new "hot" thing. Great players will continue to sell well regardless of product, but the new rookies are always the top item.

Yeah, and Bill Cosby has died 73 times, Obama isn't a citizen, and Lady Gaga is actually a woman.

Don't believe everything you read.

Topps just signed a long-term deal with the NFLPA in 2012. They are not going anywhere.

I agree with you on Finest, however, Chrome has the staying power to still be the rookie auto to have of anyone pre-2015 if this goes is true and goes into effect next year.

Great, more "airbrushed" cards.

Also nothing concrete. Mostly rumor, but the smoke is very thick.
