Default Connor Shaw to start for Browns this Sunday..may be

According to Bleacher Report, Hoyer suffered shoulder injury yesterday. Probably after getting sacked. Manziel is hurt as well. I say why not start Shaw, let's see what the kid has.

I'm a fan of the young man - hope he takes the reins and never looks back!

(I realize the deck is stacked against him)

He has some decent weapons to throw to Gordon/Hawkins/Cameron. If he can be accurate and get rid of the ball quickly, he can survive. Read some stat that Manziel, just in his limited playing time, held the ball the longest of any QB this season.

@AdamSchefter: Browns HC Mike Pattine announced Johnny Manziel's hamstring injury has ended his season

Honestly what do they have to lose playing Shaw? Nothing, throw his butt in there

Man I hope he starts and plays well! I loved watching Shaw at South Carolina he is a warrior. I think he is a much better all around QB than Johnny Football TBO.

As a Ravens fan, the best thing the Browns can do is sign someone off the street to come in a play QB this week. It worked for Houston.

Word is that the Browns are going to bring Rex Grossman back in this week (since he knows the Shanahan offense inside and out)

On the same token it's been announced that Shaw will be taking 1st team reps in practice.

So I'd say you're looking at 70/30 it's going to Shaw over Grossman.

Playing Grossman would purely be so you don't completely embarass the team if Shaw can't play.

Although that ship has sailed.

Grossman turned down the offer to sign with the Browns. Would rather spend Christmas with his family. He made the right decision IMO.

Always liked Connor Shaw at USC. As a Texans fan, I would love nothing more than to see Shaw lead the Browns to victory and lend us a little help. Best of luck to him if he gets the start.

So his .10 cards now become .25 and his 3 autos become $6?

Funny, but it's even better that people are still buying Manziel's cards. Shaw will probably put up better numbers in one game than Johnny
