Question Where do you get addresses for TTM autographs

Bunch of stuff I want to send out, but for any one who does TTM how do you get started? I saw there is TTM forum on here, but I got the feeling that if I had posted this question on there I'd be lambasted.

Depending on if you want to "invest" on a list:

IF THE ANSWER IS NO:
SCF has a very good database for a lot of players, you can check them out here:
SCF Through The Mail Manager

Also, follow collectors on the TTM subforums here and SCF will get you some information as well. I believe collector universe is another forum (though I don't check there often).

IF YOU ARE WILLING TO PAY A LITTLE:

I have the Harvey's sports list for basketball. I think I paid $20 or so for it, and it has TONS of players on that list. I have been getting decent result from it while cross referencing the list and some search via forums.

Sportscollectors.net is another option as well. I am on the board as well, but a lot of the information in there is very similar to the Harvey's list, though sometimes it is good to cross reference.

Just FYI, the TTM subforum is very friendly and very helpful!! There are plenty of collectors in there who is willing to help..

Good luck bud!!

I remember receiving a book (some of you might not know what those are) as a kid that had home addresses. It was probably 200 pages and provided me lots of childhood mail. I couldn't tell you the name nor who published it. I received it as a gift. Probably published in the late 70s or very early 80s.

Autopens are so cheap today and everyone has an 'assistant.' I would not trust autographs through the mail as being legit today.

Try team Address first, since they always forward the Mail to the players address... Got so many Players that we got successful returns.. Number one should be Dirk Nowitzki, as he signs all the comes his way...

I checked out the SCF database and it's pretty good, so I put together a folder with saved searches for about 10 or so players to send to.

(I looked up Kevin Garnett for sh*ts and giggles He's notorious for stiffing the fans and not signing.)

What do you usually send other than the card(s) and how do you send it? If you have time, PM me if you prefer, or just post here. I'd love to get some insight.

Old people and their made up stories...

Just kidding, I actually love reading. You should check out 'Who's Running the Asylum?' by Wilt Chamberlain himself.

What are some cool NON-Panini cards that you can suggest? He got drafted long after and during the time I stopped collecting. If there's anything simple with cool photography like the Collector's Choice cards, I will definitely pick one up!

I would also suggest looking at youtube videos of ttm successes. The person doing the video usually mentions where he or she sent to. You can easily find the full addy on SCF or by doing a Google search. Good luck and let us know how things turn out.

Anyone from outside the US does TTM?

I was thinking of doing it, but I guess you would have to send a SASE and I don't know where I could get a US stamp here (nor do I know the stamp value).
