I preface this question that I'm a Corey Davis fan and collector since I'm a Western Michigan grad and he's the first skilled position player to come out of there since Greg Jennings.
Looking over his stats and injury history, is it in Tennessee Titans' best interest to find another quarterback? Corey Davis supposedly has the skills according to all the hype and if Henry can be the consistent running back as he has shown lately, is the weak link the quarterback position? If so, I don't think the 2019 draft has much quarterback depth which leaves trading for a QB. I don't know what's the right decision, but I just want Corey Davis to have a chance at an above average career and don't think Mariota gives him that opportunity.

No point in extending him now. Let him play next year out and see what happens. No excuses left.
I'd like to see them take a QB like they did last year, but earlier in the draft. Not a project type guy like Falk. Rounds 3-4, maybe. No matter who the QB is, they need pass catchers. Davis is legit. In a better passing offense, he'd put up some really nice numbers. But they have no one else. Right now it's Davis and a bunch of #4 receivers, at best. Even if Walker comes back healthy and and can produce, he'll be 35 next year. |

Well, the fact when Gabbert comes in and there isn't a drop off in the offense is an indictment of Mariotta. This year's QB class seems a bit weak especially if Haskins stays. Play Mariotta next year and draft a QB if he doesn't take a big step forward.

Mariotta is the better QB. When the Titans offense is working like it should, the running game is the focus. The QB isn't asked to do much, both QBs can run it equally well. I think Gabbert throws it downfield better, but Mariotta can extend plays more.

Admittedly I’m a Ducks and Mariota fan. It’s frustrating to see Marcus hurt so often and not playing close to his ability. That said, I’ve been on the other side of the equation for a while now. Davis is a nice WR, but Marcus has bums all around him when it comes to skill players. Henry has only just begun to be utilized, and WRs like Sharpe and Taylor aren’t legitimate NFL talents. Delanie Walker is a matchup nightmare but is old and injured now. Marcus has growth on his own, but it wouldn’t hurt to see him have some real talent at his disposal.

I agree Gabbert has the stronger arm. But his accuracy is poor, so the more you ask him to throw, the more you're playing with fire. |

If you're a Titans fan like me, it's been a roller coaster of a year since Week 1 when we played the longest game in NFL history. Marcus has showed flashes of greatness while also looking mediocre the week after those stellar games. The O-Line has been atrocious at times. Conklin hasn't looked the same since the ACL tear. Spain has been a joke. Lewan looks overpaid. I place a lot of blame on those guys for not protecting Mariota.
I think the Titans have to bring Mariota back next year with a weak draft class. If he can't stay healthy, he wont come back. If he has a bad season, he won't be back. Walker coming back will be helpful even at his age and hopefully they can find a WR that stretches the field (Taylor has shown signs of this but has been super inconsistent). If all of those pieces fit together, I see Corey Davis having a break out year next year. I like Davis and hope he continues to push through the growing pains. |

In the end, you need some offensive weapons in order to make up for a terrible defense.

You're watching a team right now without their best defensuve player in Casey, and maybe their best corner in Logan Ryan. |

The defense has been a very solid scoring defense, which is somewhat difficult to sustain. That said, there's talent on that side of the ball. Corey Davis being your best WR isn't good, and the dropoff is bad behind him.

Titans need a new starter and a new backup.

Now the Titans are around spot 19 for the draft. Without making some big splashes this offseason or moving up in the draft, I feel this franchise will be a .500 club until significant roster changes take place.

Well, I guess we'll see if another OC can get Mariota on track. In the end, Mariota wasn't worth the squeeze.

4 OCs in 5 years doesn't help.
He needs some stability and a good OC.

I can't wait until the Titans don't bring him back after his 5th year option and he goes somewhere with talent to flourish.

Next season will be make or break, I think. Had pretty high hopes for Mariota but he has had so many injuries its hard to guess what you get.
I think you try to get some offensive weapons and line help this next season, worry about QB further down the road if needed. If things go off the rails next year then yeah I would think of looking elsewhere. Not in love with most QB in the upcoming draft. I think that's a big factor. |

There's no way the Titans can expect him to take steps forward next year with a new OC unless they get him some serious weapons.

Yeah, they need some serious help at WR. I'd like to see them get either Tate or Humphires in FA, and draft a deep threat early in the draft.

More than anything I think, is look at the production from all the other pass catchers. Teams didn't have to worry about anyone else. ![]() I'm interested to see if they ask Dion Lewis to restructure his contract. |

Both Winston and Mariota are on their last legs when it comes to changing the course of their careers. Winston with a new HC, and Mariota with yet another clean season beginning with a clean slate of health after an injury.
Neither have been in an ideal situation, but that doesn't mean anything after 3-4 years. Excuses run thin, it's time for both to live up to expectations or be most likely known as overrated middling talents for the rest of their careers. Which is what most qb's end up being. If only becoming a legendary QB were that easy. |
