Something I will never understand though is how they grade them Gem Mint, then proceed to put them into card savers, potentially squashing the corners? Correct me if I am wrong, but how does that make sense?

You get the grade but not slabbed so you could sell or get it slabbed

when you get it slabbed do you still have to pay the full amount? if its yes then why not just get it slabbed in the first place? potential bad grades and whatnot??

and does it automatically get the same grade cause a lot could happen to the card between the RCR and getting slabbed.. I would think they would have to do it all over again

and obviously slabbed cards carry a premium so I would assume a RCR would also.. but then how can you sell these cards when they gotta stay in those holders.. definitely makes it a big pain to ship securely

In the past, Ive received discounts when slabbing RCR. They dont guarantee the grade if you dont submit on the spot but If nothing happens to the card from rcr to submitting, youll more than likely get the same grade. I always enjoyed rcr to avoid slabbing <9.5

I have bought rcr off ebay and submitted to get the same grade when slabbed. when shipping it was taped between thick cardboard.

A ton. If thats the gold version /50 a quick look on Ebay shows that they go for around $650-700. Not sure what a 9.5 version goes for but I'm sure its a pretty penny.

I'm especially happy with the 10 on the Ronaldo auto as most of his autos go out of the sticker
