Default Frustrated with getting cards in PWE over and over. Am I missing something?

Anytime I sell something on ebay or here, or trade for that matter, it gets shipped in a bubble mailer with delivery confirmation. I've received a few packages recently in PWE. Its starting to piss me off. I thought its an understood thing that these go out packaged well, unless otherwise noted. Am I wrong? Should I leave a comment in the feedback section on here/ebay?

This is true. On auctions under $2.50 in total value I use PWE

I try not to list anything under $10 on ebay anymore. maybe a couple from $7-10, but since I offer free shipping, it's just not worth it. that stuff is gonna go to COMC or get bunched in a lot. I hate PWE, have had a few problems with USPS with it, so I always use bubble at least. all my pwe purchases have been super low-end for set completing and have been discussed so I know it's coming to me that way.

edit: not worth a neg or neutral in my opinion if it came safe/undamaged. if it got dinged/dented/etc from pwe, then that could warrant one

I just got a card from ebay in a pwe and was charged 2.00 shipping. I left appropriate feedback and the seller had the nerve to message me about what shipping and handling really is. He went on to quote how much time it took him to list his listings and the time it took him to print up the slip and package my card and the time it took him to drive to the post office. A bunch of BS if you ask me.

The card came safe in good condition so I left him a positive, but stated in the feedback he sent in a PWE.

As a seller, when you ship in a PWE, all a buyer has to do to get the cards for free is make a claim of cards not received. They may very well have received them, but you have no proof and you will lose the claim every time. If a buyer can't afford a bubble mailer with DC, maybe it's time to quit buying cards online.

I HATE PWE's.

cards can still be packaged well and sturdy in PWE just as much as bubble envelopes

If your cards arrive in the condition then you really have NOTHING to complain about. If they are not then complain away.

Problem is that if you package the cards just as well as a bubble mailer, while using PWE, there is a high chance package damage going through the machine sorter.

If you make me pay for shipping but send my card in a PWE, there is a good chance you are getting dinged.

That's the other addition I would make to being allowed to complain.

If shipping cost is excessive and/or the cards come damaged, nail someone who sent it PWE. If neither is true, no complaint warranted.

Rate their DSR appropriately. That is what it is for.

Bingo! I once had a $125 card arrive via PWE. It was in perfect shape and they received a positive with 5 star dsr's. With that said, I did message the seller that they left themselves completely open to fraud without dc and that it's not a bad idea to print the $1.64 PayPal label and ship in a bubble. They were polite and appreciated the feedback. I would recommend you try the same approach.

What is really worth pissing and moaning about is having stuff arrive postage due. I can't tell how many times I've had that happen. In those cases, I let the seller know it came due and that's it. If they give a refund, I leave 5 star positives. If they don't respond within 48 hours or give me flack, they get a neutral with a statement about the item arriving postage due. All is contingent upon the card not being damaged.
