Default Amazing collectors not active online

This is gonna double up as a 'help' and a 'share your stories' type thread.

Since I've been collecting Garnett I've known of en ebay user called 'steveareno4'
He lives in Cali and collects KG, Dirk and Dwight. He also sells nice pocket knives! Anyway he's been collecting since 99 and must have a truly AWESOME Garnett collection. I'm talking world beating.
He wrote to me once back in the day and I even sold him a card he needed but he keeps to himself and I'm presuming none of his stuff is online. I know he is still active buying stuff...

I think it's a real shame that an amazing collection like that isn't shared with other collectors but I guess that's the way he likes it. If anyone knows this guy I would love to chew the fat with him.

And while on topic, anyone else know of guys who all they do is buy on ebay and keep to themselves?

There will always be those underground collectors. So oldschool that they dont use ebay or social and the cards theyre getting are pulled or face to face transaction from back in the day.

I could easily think of five iverson collectors who just had a crazy good collections but just decided to keep them and never show off. Thats just the way it goes some people are humble to death even if theyre worth millions theyre are going with them in the grave.

Well said, it's kind of a shame... The guy I'm talking about had two awesome 21/ Garnett cards. An 05-06 Ultimate Collection Premium Patch and a sweet 03-04 auto 21/25....He just had an amazing collection but he only wrote once and then that was it....
A real shame...
