Default Rank the top 5 worst franchises currently

I’ll go first

Falcons - what do they even have to cheer for?
Browns - Myles Garrett
Titans - if we keeping it a buck
Jets - they got draft capital
Saints - nfc south is rough

Not the Saints (they’ve won a Super Bowl) or the Falcons (who have at least been to more than one), though drafting Penix Jr. when they already had Kirk Cousins was a baffling move.

It’s a toss-up between the Browns and the Jets—both are far removed from their glory days and can’t seem to get anything right.

The Titans have been irrelevant for so long that I sometimes forget they’re even an NFL team.

Def in the top 5: Jets, Titans Browns.

Then throw in Raiders. Last one Saints are gonna be bad a while. Isn't their cap situation totally F'd?

The Titans went to the AFC Championship Game like four years ago, doofus.

YAWN

And I couldn't tell you who the quarterback was, I know they played the Chiefs though, and got Kilt (probably)

If we're going to add in the Raiders, may as well toss in the Cowboys too. When was the last time either team did anything besides let down their die-hard fan bases?

Since 2003, the Raiders are 130-235 (.356 win%) and have only had 2 winning season in that time period. The only team worse is the Browns at 122-243-1 (.335 win%), but they had 3 winning seasons!

Cowboys should get honorable mention. The Raiders (2), Titans(3) and Jets(3) have all been to multiple Conference Championship games since the last time Dallas made it to one 30 years ago.

As in this season or all-time? I'm assuming this means ever so:

1. Cleveland Browns (1999 expansion)
2. Detroit Lions
3. Tennessee Titans/Oilers
4. NY Jets
5. Wild card - can put many teams here (Jags, Panthers, Falcons, Bengals)

Browns - well if we're being literal the Browns team that won the 4+ championships prior to SB era became the Ravens who as a newer expansion team has won multiple SBs and been consistently one of the best teams in the league. So technically, the 1999 expansion Browns have been dreadful only making the playoffs 3 times since 1999-2000 and winning 1 playoff game ever. Even with those championships the sheer ineptitude gives them the 1 spot (Lions only team arguably above them).

Lions - They're not an expansion/newer team like the Jags/Texans and they've never reached a SB despite being one of the oldest teams in the league. 4 pre-SB championships I believe, but again, during my entire lifetime they've been a joke for the vast majority of. Stafford/Calvin playoff appearances and in the past two years they've been the best they ever have in decades, so they edge the Browns to not be the worst.

Oilers/Titans - Like the Lions and Browns really, another team that existed in AFL era won a few championships pre-SB era but has never won a ring. They at least did make the SB against the Rams in 1999 (2000). But they've been hot butt since mostly.

Jets - I think people want to put them #1 because they get the most media coverage by far out of bad teams, maybe all teams since it's NY. But they did win a SB with Namath and they make the AFCC in 2009 and 2010 back to back with Rex Ryan. A few times prior. They suck, and recently it's been a clown show there.

I think any of those 4 teams are interchangeable really, but that's how I'd rank them. Maybe the Jets are 3rd, but the SB win sets them apart imo for all-time ranking. As for a 5th, I think you can slot in a bunch of options so whatever.

Oh my bad, moving forward?

Cardinals.

I'll toss them in the mix because their franchise QB is playing black Ops 7 bouncing off walls and journeyman Jacoby Brissett is outplaying him. They're screwed for years to come too.

Ah the Cardinals. Knew I was missing one team on my list. They're even more irrelevant than the Titans, if that's possible.

Hard to put Jags on the list with their current record

London and Harrison JR are solid pieces to build around. Some of these other teams have no hope.

Getting RB/WRs is usually an easier thing to do vs Oline, QB and defensive players.

Browns - Watson signing puts them here.
Jets - A complete mess.
Titans - Who thought Ward was going to be a franchise QB?
Falcons- Coaching stinks. Trading next season's #1 was a huge mistake.
Cardinals - Drafting Kyler #1 puts them on the list.

I realize that, but it's something. Saints and Browns for instance don't have much and both are over the cap next season so they can't build either.

Dolphins are another team that should be mentioned. Horrible coach, QB is injury prone, and they are over the Cap Next season too. Achane is solid though.
