I wonder if there’s autos? Doesn’t really say anything on that.

This seems like a natural thing to branch out to, given Fanatics is quickly monopolizing sports.

It looks cool, but I would have rather seen a more general Panini “Music” set. With a wide variety of artists, new and old. If Springsteen was in it I’d be all over it.

I would think autos are the make or break on set. 15 base parallels mentioned but no autos… that I see. Maybe they end up at least getting cut autos.

I hope the have a little more oversight with this than their last attempt at a music set.

Making it really limited would help.

I love they're going this route but I'll be skipping this one only because I don't like The Stones at all.

15 parallels for a Rolling Stones set? That’s crazy.

If they list a sellsheet with more formal details, the item will update. No word on autos yet.

You' have to be a huge Stones mark to buy this if it doesn't have autos/mems, they could literally grab a bunch of Richards picks and those would be some pretty big hits imo.

I agree they should of done a general music set first, Guitar Hero and Rock Band showed you start with everyone to appeal to a broader audience before catering to specific bands (Guitar Hero Aerosmith/Metallica etc)

Pulling the same 4 dudes over and over again seems boring. Especially when no one cares about two of them.

This will be in the Blowout Black Friday sales for years, just like the Elvis cards still are 20 years after release. And with Elvis, you can pull autos (including his) and memorabilia cards.

They should do a Keith Richards through the centuries subset with him pictured with dozens of historical figures.

Or they could do parallels with the different liquor labels in the background (Jack Daniel's parallel, Johnnie Walker parallel, etc)...

A more broad based music set might actually be interesting. If they could get Taylor Swift stuff, it would sell well.

I think this has a niche - Stones collectibles are very popular. Aren't they on tour now or going on tour soon? These would sell amazing at the venues.

Thats the rub with cards. Its really not a cross over item. You have folks that collect cards already, and buy card sets of other things that interest them.

Like you collect Non Sport cards, and you like Rolling Stones. You would buy these.

General fans are typically not card collectors. They just don't get the parallels, the numbered thing or the case hit stuff. They dont care.

They would rather get another concert shirt, or a signed album cover. Anything but a high priced box of cards.

just 4?

hopefully they include the founders jones and stewart, and that would leave taylor.

but even with those guys you are still pulling the same 6-7 over and over

I feel that way about Disney collectibles and that Disney collectors aren't the ones buying Kakawow and the like. With these, I think the crossover fits well. Stones collectors buy "stuff" with them on it more than a Disney collector would. I'm having a hard time explaining why.

I can see people at a concert at the merch booth - "I'll take a shirt, the tour program, a pin, and oh, those are cards for $10 a pack? I'll take one of those, too." But that's a pretty specific scenario. I can't see someone walking into a card shop going "Whoa, Rolling Stones cards? I gotta have them!"

This product seems horrible to me. A super narrow fanbase would be interested in this, I feel. God help us all.

Panini BEACH BOYS was a solid set, but it had 2-3 autographs per case (including Brian Wilson among the signers), plus 2 memorabilia cards in every box.

Looks like a $50 Mega Box only option. Seems like they could have done a much better job with the license. Maybe the project got scrapped halfway and they are just looking to regain some money. No autos or memorabilia makes zero sense. You could easily have a "Fans of the Stones" autograph set. Now it's just a gimmick base set.

I wish Panini would resurrect the "Americana" line.
