They're rereleasing the set on E-Pack after about a year and a few months of originally releasing the set.

I don't think this one falls under "back by popular demand". Curious to see the price.

Personally I like the insert sets and those audio booklets are pretty neat. Quote:

I think this is a last ditch effort to sell off the product before slashing the price. I like the idea, but as usual ude decided to make it unnecessarily premium, and that wasn't the market.

Bought a few packs of this on the epacks site and pulled a 3D card. The artwork in this set is pretty nice. I could imagine younger audiences really loving this one. Also at 2.99 a pack, not too bad for some light fun.

I bought a box...I really like the set...lots of dinosaurs I didn't know about...some with like silly names. Only real hits were 3d cards...got 4 of those...and a bunch of minis.

Bought a few packs and got a sticker and a group 3 3D card, 1:60 packs.
The 3D cards have varying levels of rarity. 1) Herbivores 2) Predators 3) Marine 4) Flying (at 1:360 packs!)

Bought 5 packs then a box. Nothing special asides from a few SP, SSP and 3D cards. Kinda suck that you need to collect 20 to just get a physical card. My 3 yo son is really into animals and dinosaurs so was hoping to just give them to him, but even after a box there's not much to give him.

It seems like the Day 1 buzz for this set on the ePack trade forums is luke warm to non-existent. I would have thought there would be a bit more activity given the relatively low pack price.

I think the idea that it was originally aimed towards younger collectors, then released in a format where you need 20!!! base cards to make one real card would make this a tough sell.
I opened a couple of packs for fun, I can see where this would be a fun set but again, not at 20 base per physical card. Especially with only 4 base in a pack. |
