Default 2025 Topps Tier One

Looked like this release flew under the radar.

Cases $3600; boxes were $300 w/ limit of ten.

Like anything else in the hobby, ROI is garbage at those prices, but probably an easy flip.

Rookie autos don't drive the product but Kurtz is in it.

All the usual Topps subjects including Bonds. Cases were sold out when I tried, but I snagged ten boxes. Saw cases came back in stock, but don't feel like allotting $7k to this.

Thought I'd splurge on 2 boxes, got them in my cart at 12:28, took a minute to grab my card, OUT of Stock.
Probably a good thing,
Vinny

Bat knobs of Mays, Sisler, and Greenberg. Mays/Bonds dual relic. Josh Gibson relics. This checklist is really good.

Limited lumber is bat barrel right? If so, there’s a Mickey Mantle, and Rogers Hornsby.

2024 doesn't have Skenes and it's still around $425 a box. Can't imagine this dips below Topps price anytime soon.

And the odds of actually pulling any of these????

Multiple 1/1s on the odds sheet point to = 61,930 boxes/5,160 cases made. Should be able to calculate almost any card based on that number.

Just for argument sake and ease of calculations, say there are 62 1/1's. You have a 1:1,000 chance to pull one or .1%.

At $300 a box.

And I don't think there are 62 1/1's.

Like anything else in the hobby, it's a ripoff. But this is an obvious buy at $300 under the Greater Fool Theory.

FWIW odds shake out something along the lines of:

1:2 boxes - Any version of a "Break Out" Auto
1:4 boxes - Any version of a "Jumbo Tier One" Autograph

Those account for ~37% of all autographs in the product

Got my 10 boxes in. Opened 3. Nice cards but won't break even, but wasn't killed. Should have stopped after the first two which yielded the low numbered autos.

Edgardo Henriquez RC Auto /299
Max Muncy Relic Auto
Darryl Strawberry Relic Auto /99
Parker Meadows Dual Patch /25
Ryne Sandberg Prime Performers Auto /10
Elly de la Cruz Tier One Talent Holo Auto #'d 5/5

Also hit an un-numbered Cal Ripken Jr. base (card no. 7), but it has the same holo foil finish as the other non-legend base #'d /10. It's definitely not the un-numbered bronze or silver foil variant. Not sure if it missed the stamping or if silver holo-foil legends base are mistakenly un-numbered.

Interesting on the Cal. Would like to see a pic of the card.

Nice pull on the Elly!

Doesn't seem too bad this year. I'd take this product over Topps Sterling.
