Default Some new additions to my Ashley Lelie and Hawaii PC

I can usually find a few "new" cards for my Ashley Lelie and Hawaii collection every couple of months and wanted to share some of my most recent finds.

Red Hot variation, serially numbered to his short lived Rookie Jersey #10/10

Rookie Premiere Auto

Spectrum variation /25

The only NFL Shield (partial at least) that I have ever seen from his rookie year.

A nice Game Used item that I have been trying to track down for a few years now. It will go nice with one of the easiest collection projects I have ever attempted. He only has one card with an autograph and the two variations.

Got this if you could use it for your Hawaii PC:

Thanks but I already have a few copies of that card. While Salas isn't a major piece of my Hawaii collection, I really like the use of the Hawaii jersey in the Upper Deck cards.

As a Peter Warrick collector, I applaud your Lelie collection. Always thought he was super talented, just never put it all together.

Thanks, whenever you find your Lelie pc let me know and will take a look. Along with the cards I've never seen, I still need a few more common cards (base/inserts/jerseys) to complete my set.

I wanted to share a few of the recent additions to my collection. Slowly, making progress with my attempt to complete the 2002 master set, at least one of every RC card produced.

This Jersey Numbered card 10/50 finishes off the 2002 Hot Prospects Set

Another nice (temporary RC) jersey numbered card 10/50, that almost completes the prestige set.

A rare jersey that I have had a hard time finding

Not the best looking card (giant silver sticker auto) but it's his only 1/1 RC autograph and has a nice Hawaii jersey picture.

The gold refractor auto is a new pickup and should complete the Finest set, as I don't think the xfractor autos were produced. I've never seen a 2002 year RC xfractors auto of any player but will still continue to look.

I collect Marquise Walker who was also in 2002 and I have never seen the Finest Xfractor before either. Nice collection.

Thanks for the info.
I gave Ashley a list of cards to look for in the boxes of cards he received from the different card companies over the years. Maybe there will be one hiding out in the stuff he received from Topps.

Awesome collection - I collect Seneca Wallace and my 2003 rookie search reminds me of your 2002 rookie search. Good luck!

SpastikMooss:
Thanks, your Wallace collection is really cool. I will have to look into setting up a site like you have created. Thats a great way to display the collection and your small story about the collection was very interesting.

I already have 2-3 copies of that card but might be interested, if it had a special serial number or different colored jersey. The few I have, feature a blue jersey piece.
Thanks

Thanks! It's pretty easy, I just did mine through blogger. And sometimes it even funds my collection a bit - one guy recently offered me an advertisement deal for $150! So it looks nice and supports itself.

It's been a slow couple of months tracking down new cards for my collection but thought I would share a few recent pickups. If anyone has any rare 2002 year Ashley Lelie card(s), I will probably be interested in adding it to my collection.

Extreme Limited variation /24

never got around to pickup a copy of this card, so I thought a graded version would be a good addition.

Not a new pickup but my pile of duplicates finally pays off. I just found out that the variation card (grass stain on left knee) that i have been trying to track down for a few years now has been in my collection the whole time.

While the last couple of months have been really slow on my 2002 year rookie card set (nothing new to show), I was able to recently acquire some really cool memorabilia,

2003 road game-used jersey.

The new centerpiece to my collection, rookie season (2002) game-used helmet.

As usual, I'm always interested in anything that would be new to my 2002 year collection

It's been a few moths since my last update, as I haven't been able to find that many new cards but this one stood out from my recent pickups.

I now have NFL gamers from all of the teams he played for.

2006 Atlanta Falcons Home jersey that the medical staff removed because of a separated shoulder. Not the greatest memory but an interesting story.

Oakland Raiders Road Jersey with Gene Upshaw patch

Thanks.

With the cards I need becoming harder and harder to locate, memorabilia (jerseys) has been a nice side project.

I thought I would update this post with my recent mail day. Some autographed game jerseys, pieces and a neat custom card.

Two autographed game jerseys and the missing "0" from my rookie jersey pieces that I acquired after someone decided to transform a Lelie jersey into another Broncos player, after he was traded. As the "1" was already autographed I thought I would have Ashley add an inscription to the "0"
Someday I hope to find a blank 2002 year jersey and recreate the rookie jersey with these pieces.

The last couple of weeks have been really good at knocking a few more cards of my want list. More "new" cards found than the previous couple of years total.

This card completes the 2002 Leaf Certified set

This card completes the 2002 Adrenaline set

My first printing plate additions. I have been looking for 8+ years only to have two of the only four pack issued plates show up during the same week, strange but very nice.

These Pacific cards were never pack issued but thought they were neat and fit nicely into my 2002 master set attempt.

This nice Football patch gets me closer to completing the Sweet Spot set.

The completed 2002 Elite set (with the 2002 National promotional variations /5)
