Default comics coming to epack

Collect Forever will be launching on July 5th, 2022! As we get closer to the launch, we will be sharing more details about the new platform.

Collect Forever will feature a vast selection of your favorite comic books with series like The Amazing Spider-Man, X-Men, Batman, Avengers, and many more! Collect Forever will also provide a new way to purchase rare comic book variant covers!

Why Shop for Comics on Collect Forever?

Any comic book in the Collect Forever shop labeled “Potential Variant” provides the chance of receiving a rare variant comic book cover. The odds of receiving a variant cover will be clearly displayed in the Variant section of each product page.

After you purchase a comic with a “Potential Variant” cover, your order confirmation page will show the new comic book cover you have added to your collection. Please note the variant cover and the standard cover are mutually exclusive, so if you receive the variant cover, you will not receive the standard cover and vice versa.

Collect Forever will be launching on July 5th, 2022! As we get closer to the launch, we will be sharing more details about the new platform.

When viewing the Shop on Collect Forever, you will find many items are listed as pre-order only.

How Do Pre-Orders Work on Collect Forever?

Pre-ordered items from Collect Forever will be transferred and stored in your e-Pack collection until they are available to ship.

Items marked with pre-order will have information on when the item is expected to be available to ship. Please note, the availability and shipping dates are estimated. In your e-Pack Settings, you can select to receive an email notification when the item is available to ship.

After the pre-ordered item is available to ship on e-Pack, you can also choose to trade the item for other collectibles in the e-Pack Trading Marketplace.

pretty curious about this. Like how good the condition of the comics will end up being. Also I like the idea of comics sitting in a "vault" to be shipped at some point but I hope shipipng costs isnt a deal breaker here

they are going to be sealed in a bag that has to be cut open to get to the book.

OK, got it to work. Bought some issues. Wouldn't let me buy the Sgt Rock comic for some reason. Got no variants. Haven't bought comics in about five years. Hopefully these don't suck

So, basically, few will read them, and in the future most copies will be sealed/mint.

No reason to keep third party repacks sealed.

I noticed all the book are pre-orders. So no way to get earlier issues of a series that's already out?

probably not. they are getting these direct from the manufacturer (at least that is what is stated).

I think this is a great addition to ePack. Will hopefully open up trading for low dollar items a bit more there.

I’m picking up cool covers… here is a few I like so far:

I tested the waters by buying 4 each of the 3 Mandalorian issues they have listed.
Worth a shot, nice looking covers.

Sorry for the noob question; but what does "potential variant" mean?

If it says 26:1 for the variant cover, it means that every 26th copy of the book will have a different cover by a different artist and those will be distributed randomly throughout orders. Think of it as getting a "hit" card in every 26th pack of cards. I'd have to think if one bought 26 copies of a certain book with a 26:1 ratio variant, it'd be fairly safe to assume you'd get one of the variants.

Some of the variants have longer odds, and those are the most valuable right out of the gate, but we are in an age when multiple classic covers are being produced each month, so some of the easier to find variants have also become widely collected, indeed, even regular covers.

Their are certain artists I collect this way, for covers only, so I have a lot more comics in my collection these days that I've never read. With some of these, I like the regular cover more than the variant (but I'm still hoping for some variants on my Epack orders, though I'll only be getting 1 of most issues, so not likely.)

Choose wisely, and good luck with the variants

Who are your auto-buy cover artists? I think I will pick up every Skottie Young cover even though the 2 currently listed on CollectForever aren’t showing actual cover images. And Peach seems a bit hit or miss but I love her Ms Marvel and Venom cover and will keep my eye out for more cool ones from her in the future.

Will new preorders show up each Wednesday or will they be randomly adding them on the site?

In the old days, it was Dave Stevens, Bill Sienkiewicz, John Byrne, Arthur Adams, Steranko, and Brian Bolland.

In-betweeners are Alex Ross and Adam Hughes.

These days, it's Stanley "Artgerm" Lau, Derrick Chew, Frank Cho, and Jenny Frison, but lots more are emerging like Lesley "Leirix" Li and David "D.NA" Nakayama. I love Momoko's work, too.

It was a lot easier back when there were only main covers. I could get every cover by my favorites in those days. But once the ratio variants emerged, I had to start picking and choosing. There is no artist I get every cover from anymore, it would be cost prohibitive, so I pick and choose based on images that dazzle me.

Gotcha… looks like I picked up a Chew too already… great style. It will be interesting to see how the books look in soft slab once they are “live”

That's sharp.
As with most of these artists, I prefer their female characters, and in that regard, Chew just hit a home run with a classic run of Harley Quinn cardstock variants for DC, and impressed even more with his Barbarella covers for Dynamite (see 'em here: https://leagueofcomicgeeks.com/peopl.../comics/151256 Click on each issue. Chew's are usually cover B, but pretty all of the artists went to town on this series.).

Even so, I think my favorite single cover of his is this spectacular Captain Harlock for Ablaze.

Are the epack comic covers exactly as shown, or will they be the same as newsstand/comic store covers with price/UPC/etc?
