Here is a picture of every 2017 Flawless Mahomes RPA (gold only) that has surfaced on the internet. Please let me know if you find more... I would love to see them all.

This one is mine.

Neat. Wish they would have made the Flawless RPA an actual RC instead of insert set.

Me too, but there are so few on-card autos from 2017 that everything stays relevant.

Not a single game worn/used patch in the bunch!

Yes, I still have #23. I collected this entire set back in the day and broke it up starting with Trubisky...

Yes, I can't decide which company to grade it with, and the insurance at this point is insane. I'll have to stop by the national and do 1 day grading one of these years.

Bought the #02/25 raw for $1275 in 2019 and got it graded (BGS 9.5/10). Sold it to a member here for $7500 before the pandemic spike. Good old days....

Nice gallery, thanks for sharing! I was a bit surprised to see 6 BGS slabs vs 4 PSA.

#02/25 sold recently (2/11/24) for PWCC fixed marketplace for 45K after the SB win. That makes it Win/Win/Win/Win/Loss

Nope, because the person who just sold it bought it for 27k via Probstein in December

So now I think we're at Win/Win/Win/Win/Loss/Win

Could be same owner listed at Probstein and PWCC, hard to trust either of those actually.

I'm looking for advice. Should I keep this card in its original one-touch, or grade it?

I am considering having it graded in-person at the National this year.

This is my last Mahomes remaining. All of the others have been sold over the years.

I am normally against grading 1/1s or pretty much any thick cards (Immac, Panini Black, etc) unless they look amazing on eval with mag and cam. I seldom even grade gold /10 cards (normal non-thick) as they have rarity allure already.

However, with Mahomes, Brady, MJ, high value vintage stuff... I say grade it.
You really have to these days. People are wary of fakes. You need it graded just to auth it and put buyer at ease. There have been fakes with Panini tape, Flawless tape, etc. It's best to grade it just to auth the card, to show it's safe to buy. If you get a good grade, obviously a bonus. Jmo.

PS, selling Mahomes autos and high end RCs is kinda like selling land... but I'm sure you had your reasons (probably COVID price peaks and/or needed the fundings). Kudos.

Thanks Slyguy, I appreciate your opinion. I was thinking the dinky ass seal was somehow proof of originality, which seems silly upon further review. Grading seems like the sensible choice.

I absolutely send it to the grading with that logo tape on it. It certainly won't hurt your chances at them "rounding up" if they know it's direct from Panini, never opened.

But yeah, when ppl are spending thousands, their first concern is a fake (not that there aren't even fake slabs now), but being able to look up the card in BGS or PSA registry and have that peace of mind usually goes a long way. It's 100% that way for vintage cards too... a lot of fakes and reprints.
