Default Pete Rose should be inducted into the HOF posthumously

The punishment was not to let him the HOF while alive.

Pete is still part of baseball history and should be inducted.

Discuss....

He accepted his fate long ago. I agree his records should be in, but not the man. Can they do that?

Pete Rose: Bet on baseball, cheated on his taxes, 'dated' a 14/15 year old when he was in his 30s (defense was "I thought she was 16"), broke a guy's rib in an all-star game, yadda yadda yadda. He can be in the giant "no thanks" list for-ev-er.

Based on the above, he should be in the Hall of Shame. What he did as a player on the field, he should be in the Hall of Fame ⚾️

Once Giamatti died it sealed his fate that he would ever be inducted while he was alive.

While I don't think he gets in next year I believe he will within 5 years.

I dont care if pete never gets formally inducted, but bonds, clemens, mcgwire, arod, manny, sheffield, and palmeiro should all be voted in before pete. They deserve it at least.

I collect full player runs of Reds Hall of Famers. I have a full player run of Pete Rose already. He's already been inducted into the most important Hall of Fame: my collection.

That what the need in there are a bunch of Roid up Bums. Water the Hall of Fame up a little bit more. Can they display all the needles too?

What about all the pitchers in the HOF who cheated? One of my favorite scenes from the movie Major League:

What's that #@#@#@#@ on your chest?

Crisco. Bardol. Vagisil.

Any one of them will give you another two to three inches drop on your curve ball.

Of course, if the umps are watching me real close, I'll rub a little jalapeno up my nose, get it runnin', and if I need to load the ball up, I just wipe my nose.

You put snot on the ball?

I haven't got an arm like you, kid. I have to put anything on it I can find.

Someday you will too.

If Rose is reconsidered for the HOF, Joe Jackson should be, as well. For the record, I think both should probably be in.

Just curious which HOF pitchers got caught cheating. Maybe they can have certain sections in the HOF. 1. Elite Players HOF worthy 2. Good players. 3. Watered down Players. Players that using Steroids all the time. Cocaine users or drug users. It has became a joke now.

**pushes glasses up on nose**

Excuse me sir, but Rose was not excluded because of a "lifetime ban," which, by definition, would end at the end of his lifetime. Rather, he was placed on what is known as the "Permanently Ineligible" list.

(He should be in. And if he played football instead of baseball, he would be in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.)

Ha. Yeah, I did the same thing. I have albums of only HOFers and I got tired of certain players not being inducted. So I have a new album I call my "Rogue's Gallery"

Look, the hall started getting watered down long ago, harold baines, jim kaat, ted simmons to name a few. Bug selig of all people got inducted. In no way should he have ever been let in. Letting the "steroid" guys in, guys who belong in there does the opposite of watering down the hall

It is a misnomer. A player can be removed from it.
