Question Kronozio or Card Dealer Pro?

I was thinking of having AI autofill eBay listings from photos to help me speed up time with listing cards for sell. I don't have any of these fancy scanners, but they said iPhone photos will work as well. Which would be better? Anyone? Thanks.

I've only used card dealer pro and Iike it a lot. It doesn't work for the newest releases but you still have the ability to fill those in yourself.

Thank you. How long does it take Card Dealer Pro to add card sets?

Great question, I've only been using it for a month but I was told by them Pokemon will be available Oct. 1st so I assume a new update will also include new sports releases but won't know until they announce it.

I've been using CDP for a few months now and love it. The only real drawback as mlbfan10 mentioned, is that they aren't always up-to-date on sets. They announced CDP2.0 would be released at The National, but I've yet to see any news on that.

I wonder if Kronozio keeps the sets updated. Seems like so far CDP is the most popular.

Card Dealer Pro has some updates coming out soon which will further enhance usability. Don't think a date has been set. There was supposed to be a demo of CDP 2.0 at the National, but it wasn't a scheduled release.

You can get 500 free scans with Card Dealer Pro if you sign up using promo code CUBS. Scans will be added to your account upon any paid subscription.

I use CDP and when comparing the two (prices only) it seemed to me like Kronozio nickel and dime you on everything compared to CDP. If I remember correctly, you have to pay for scans alongside the membership to use it vs CDP you pay for the scans and membership with different tier levels based on # of scans.

I like CDP among the two; however, some sets do not work in CDP (or work well) and I have been told that fixing those are "Low Priority due to them being Vintage" by support (1984T MLB; 1975T NFL; all TCMA; All SSPC; all Renato Gallaso; and a few more I'm forgetting) - so your best choice may depend on what you're uploading

Also, if you use CDP - use the lowest "membership" and purchase the scans separately; its a better situation as you will use the "membership scans" first and then those "purchased" scans rollover month-to-month

I've been a big advocate for Kronocard. I tried CDP in the past and had issues. Since I keep seeing this debate, I tried testing CDP again and comparing their AI to Kronocard's AI to see which was better at identifying cards.

I picked 50+ baseball cards with some intentionally trying to "trick" the AI (a few tricks worked, some they got right!). I made a video on it (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yevQZICNNk) but I'll write up everything here so nobody has to watch it if they don't want to.

I measured 3 criteria: perfect identification, close identification, and wrong/blank identification. The close identification was for if the AI got the year/set/player/card correct but didn't catch it being a parallel.

Results:
Kronocard got 38 perfect, 6 close, and 8 wrong.
CDP got 35 perfect, 10 close, and 7 wrong.

I had the same problems that I had with CDP in the past. At first it wouldn't find any of my scanners. I figured out that fix and then once the scanners started showing up it would show 2 versions of some of my scanners for some reason. When I tried scanning it would give me errors saying no paper was loaded. So I couldn't test CDP on the desktop app (same problems I had when I first tried it).

So I scanned on Kronocard, exported the images, then added them to CDP via the web browser and it did well. Images uploaded quick and the AI worked fast. The UI of the webapp is pretty much unusable for me (being used to Kronocard's UI where I can see the CDP "gallery" and "spreadsheet" views simultaneously). With Kronocard there are also a ton of hotkeys and you can navigate the sheet with the keyboard so no time wasted clicking stuff. The CDP desktop app might have this same functionality but I couldn't find any videos of it on their channel and I already wasted a lot of time troubleshooting their desktop app so I didn't wanna sink any more time into trying to fix it and see for myself.

Both apps have the free trials so I think it's worthwhile for people to test both and see which they prefer. I think Kronocard is better because of its UI and its flexibility with the export feature. With the export feature, you can use your own macros/scripts/hosting to not have to pay for the eBay connector (or you can use a small web app I made that does it). I pay like $200/year for the AI and $15/mo for the export addon and that allows me to add an unlimited number of listings for roughly $35/mo (whereas $40/mo on CDP only gets you 2500 listings).

tl;dr - just try them both for free and see what you like.

After watching your video and hear you talk about your issues with CDP, I think I know why I love CDP and do not like Kronozio, and vice versa for you.

I am computer illiterate. I don't know how to create hot keys, no idea what a script is, etc. Card Dealer Pro is easy for us that are not advanced. Kronozio seems over my head, and I've tried using it multiple times dating back 10-12 years ago.

Yeah, I think you hit the mail on the head with that.
