Default Any set builders?

What is your go-to source for finding cheap commons? I like to complete the Topps Chrome set every year, but I don't want to pay 1.99 + 0.99 shipping for each card.

None of my local shops cater to set builders at all. I haven't done much Facebook, but I assume there are some groups where set builders unite...

Just wondering if I'm missing out on some obvious sources for cheap commons on sets? Thanks

sportlots - most commons can be had for .20 and sellers usually have a large selection so you can save on shipping

This is the way if you really aren't concerned with actually seeing the cards. I have bought many that way and have yet to get cards that aren't NM type condition. If you are going for rare or high dollar singles then Ebay/ComC/Myslabs seem to be the popular choices.

This is the way.

Just use the pick a seller feature on the lower left hand side. . Sportlots didn’t make sense until I learned of this tool. The number in parenthesis is the number of cards they have for sale for that search.

This was a “Shohei Ohtani” search.

I use Sportlots, COMC, and eBay sellers with pick ‘em listings. I’ve also used Cardbarrel in the past, but I haven’t purchased anything from them in a while.

Also if theres a thread here, sometimes you can find a partner that you match up with. Its how I complete my Allen & Ginter X sets each year.

My dad just finished his '24 chrome set out using cardbarrel. I believe the owner is a member here.

I like to build sets to and run across the same issues as you. I would be up for some good old-fashioned just trading if you would be interested.
