Default Tom Brady ruins items at event as promoter plays fast

https://www.cllct.com/sports-collect...aced-our-stuff

Promoter had Brady sign a contract that said Brady would sign books only, told guests something else and Brady did the worst thing and signed them badly.

Always a gray area with these things when it's a big star.

I have been a Patriots since Steve Grogan handed the ball to Sam "Bam" Cunningham and threw it to Stanley Morgan. I have never cared a lick about Brady off the field because he seems douchy. This doesn't surprise me. Bums me out but doesn't surprise me.

the "fans" were not supposed to bring their own memorabilia per the contract. it was supposed to be supplied by the promoter.

Joe Montana = beloved by all will sign stuff for fans even if it "tanks" the value of the signature. post-career GOAT.
Tom Brady = looked up to Montana growing up, surpassed his on-field accomplishments. Forgotten what it's like for fans. Terrible start to his post-career.

Per the contract between the promoter and Brady. Not between the promoter and the customers. This wasn’t a case of the customers trying to take advantage of Brady. It was the promoter giving improper terms to the customers, Brady “signing” some of the items anyways, and ruining some historical pieces with that atrocity of a signature.

"Some say they are attempting to reverse the charges with their credit cards, others are working to have the signatures wiped as clean as they can."

Can Kurt’s Card Care help with the cleaning?

Seems to me the promoters screwed over everyone but Brady should have sucked it up and given a good faith effort with his signatures and then made a mental note to never deal with those promoters again. He was pissed at the promoters but took it out on the fans.

My favorite part is that Beckett charges $1200 to tell you their evaluation of the autographs are inconclusive.

Considering Brady has a contract with Fanatics, the signing was $400 cheaper than through Fanatics and only photos and books were approved by Brady (I would assume Fanatics had a part in what was approved) I wouldnt be surprised if Fanatics/ Rubin also wasnt a fan and wanted Brady to sign poorly.

Their philosophy probably is "If you want a good Brady auto on your expensive items you have to pay us more and go through us"

This is hilarious to me. Vernand Morency would be proud.

Good for Tom.

Stick it to them where the sun don't shine!

This was 100% a promoter problem.

someone in the other thread compared it to subbing a Mantle rookie to PSA under the economy level.

I blame the promotors, sports promotors tend to be incredibly scummy.

Promoter sucks for sure but Brady should have better character than that you’d think.

This is like the people who defended Giannis stealing his best 1/1 autos from Panini. He didn’t know he wasn’t allowed to keep them!

Everyone blaming Brady when I'm here not feeling sorry for people with literally one-of-a-kind Brady items that had to save a few bucks doing it this way and not just sending in to Fanatics.

This whole story just proves how out of touch rich people are in all aspects. Maybe use common sense next time if something seems too good to be true.
