Anybody know if Topps ever made a Trout/Ichiro dual on card auto? I'd love to own something like that since Trout popped up to right field to Ichiro in his 1st MLB at bat.

That would be a sick card
I wish honestly they’d just stop making any more Ichiro cards

Then the cards would stop losing value

Yay! Ichiro finally gets his own thread!

Here is my complete 2001 “base” Ichiro rookie card collection: https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1208773

It took over a decade to complete this PC:

My extremely rare 2012 Topps Chrome SSP:

My 2017 Clearly Authentic RC Reprint Auto:

My 2016 Opening Day “Pitching Photo Variation SSP”:

And all 3 of Ichiro’s 1993 Japanese RC’s:

That is a gorgeous collection. I remember being in college and hitting the redemption for the Fleer Premium Ichiro and thinking I'd won the lottery.

I have finally gotten around to getting the 2001 Topps card and the Ichiro/Pujols card from Topps Traded.

Love this thread! I've been on the hunt for a high grade 2001 SP Authentic Chirography auto /100 or /25 if anyone has seen one! Very rare and I think only one has popped up in the last few years which was a PSA 8. If anyone sees one please let me know

I got that one.. I don’t know why, but Beckett didn’t list that one in their Ichiro RC list: https://www.beckett.com/news/ichiro-...-cards-ranked/

Love Ichi! his 2001 RCs have exploded over the past few months. 2001 Topps chrome and base have almost tripled. People are starting to recognize he will go down as one of the greatest pure hitters of all time.

My 2nd favorite mariner of all time.
I was 23rd in line to get his autograph on a ball and a batting helmet at the FanFest before the 2001 season. Japanese media interviewed me about standing in line for 4 hours.
I used to have a 2001 SPX AUTO....... ugh.
I only collect his auto if it was 2001-2002 as after that it just looks like scribble.
I have 2 balls from 2001 and a photo I took signed.

In 2002 I shot a GREAT photo of him and later on Ryan Anderson's dad was able to give Ichiro a copy and get him to sign it for me. From the first pitch of the final game in CA. Angels won the WS that year.

Nice Grail Alex. I like this card very much.

So seldom seen, even the most ardent collector's have no idea.

Thanks for all the love for the 1995 UD Ichiro!
Here are more details for those who saw it for the 1st time.

Ichiro 1995 UD Collector's Choice Media Event #59 PSA 8 NM-MT:

- The Holy Grail of Ichiro cards;
Given directly to Ichiro, impossible to find, I might have seen only around 10-15 copies since I first heard of this card's existence in 1996.
Above all else, you have peace of mind knowing that this is an authentic copy, amidst rumors of counterfeits of this card circulating.

- Copies of this card graded / certified authentic by PSA have rarely surfaced in 24 years.
- For additional reference, below is an article published on the [Collecting Ichiro] website last 2001, Ichiro's rookie year in Major League Baseball:

"U.D. Collectors Choice '95 #59.
(Pictures Ichiro as a special guest at a 1995 NBA exhibition game in Japan. UD made 200 cards, all of which were given to Ichiro. Several are on display at the Ichiro Museum in Japan. This is the only baseball card known to exist that — either directly or indirectly — came from Ichiro's personal "collection." Never a commercial Upper Deck issue of any kind, we know of only five that have surfaced in the marketplace. $3,000 - $4,000
