Default 2022 Topps Update Jeremy Pena US253 & US276 /300 Advanced Stats cards missing?

I have a question and perhaps a task for the community. I have acquired the rainbow of Jeremy Pena 2022 Topps Update cards all besides the Advanced Stats. I've looked at Pop counts and find zero graded. I've also searched on eBay for listed or sold and have found zero. I've got an email out to Topps but I'm sure they'll give me the run around.

At this point searching for 2 years I'm convinced they did NOT put them in any format what so ever. Does anyone know of how to prove that so I can take that to Topps to get some sort of answer so I can claim I have the entire rainbow? Sucks to have all parallels but missing 1 that you feel you'll never find. Mind you there should be 600 total cards based on the 2 card set.

Did every card get an advanced stat parallel? I would also think that after nearly two years and not having a single card appear out of a possible 600 is proof enough that they do not exist.

It's listed on the checklist but the public really doesn't have a way to verify unless Topps admits they left them out, but that's why I'm asking how to get them to admit it or if I'm wrong hopefully someone will point me in the right direction.

I'm guessing this happens more often than is noticed. Two other recent examples of cards on checklists that have not surfaced are 2023 topps chrome base autos of Hunter Brown and 2023 Finest base autos of Jordan Walker. Both have color but no base.

Has Topps admitted to not having those in the sets? This is the 1st I've heard of those.

Adding to your evidence base, there is no photo of either on COMC which means none have ever been submitted there.

They aren't going to have them for RCs that show minor league stats on the back.

This is my < 5min conclusion after browsing what is listed for 2022 topps update "advanced stats" on ebay and not seeing any with an RC logo.

When I viewed the Pena base card, it has minor league stats on the back. They wouldn't list batted ball events, max exit velo, etc. from minors...it might be collected in some parks, maybe all above a certain level, but the Statcast section on Fangraphs will show nothing for Pena. Only MLB numbers.

One more search found this:
https://www.mlb.com/news/minor-league-statcast-data

Have you heard the good news?

Statcast data has expanded to all of Triple-A for the 2023 season. Numbers were available for Pacific Coast League and Florida State League games, as well as Triple-A Charlotte home contests, last season, but with the expansion of the automated ball-strike (ABS) system to cover the Minors’ entire top level, there’s more great stuff than ever to dive into via the excellent Baseball Savant site. For the record, FSL data is also available once again for 2023.
Hope I'm right and this answers the question.

I think this is the correct answer. A Beckett article for the 2022 Topps set notes that Advanced Stats parallels exist for "likely only standard players cards and not the entire set." Looking through the 2022 Topps Update Advanced Stats on COMC shows that none of them feature the RC logo.

Congratulations on your rainbow!

Here's what I've learned about advanced stat cards.

1. If the player has an advanced stat card in series 1 or series 2 of that same year and they have a card in update, they won't have an advanced stat card in update.

2. Rookie Debut, Rookie Combos, Veteran Combos, Classic Combos, All-Star, Home Run Derby, Team cards, and Checklist cards all do not have an advanced stat parallel.

3. Cards with the RC logo and minor league stats on back do not have an advanced stat parallel.

4. Sometimes there are players with no cards in series 1 or 2, but still don't have an advanced stat card. I know of 6 Rockies players who don't have them in Update:

2021 Update #US25 Chi Chi Gonzalez
2021 Update #US104 Austin Gomber
2021 Update #US151 Garrett Hampson
2021 Update #US281 Elias Diaz
*2022 Update #US71 Chad Kuhl - has a Pirates card in series 2 w/an advanced stat parallel
*2022 Update #US189 Jose Iglesias - has a Red Sox card in series 1 w/an advanced stat parallel
2022 Update #US206 Sam Hilliard
2022 Update #US325 Alex Colome

^ You'd figure at least 1 copy would have surfaced by now. Nope. They must not exist.

Not sure, I never heard anything or reached out to Topps. Just something I noticed. I'm guessing sometimes players don't send all the boxes back, or they just screwed up packing them out. Like the 2018 A&G wood minis.

So glad I found this thread. I've been looking for the advanced stats parallel for US276. Guess I can delete it from my saved eBay searches!
