I don't own one so can't test the idea.
A lot of times I see an autograph card where the ink seems lighter than other copies of the same card but not sure sometimes if that is due to it being a scan instead of photo. Does a scanner always lighten the ink? |

Unless you mess with the brightness or contrast settings, it shouldn't make autos look lighter.
Taking a picture with a flash might also make the auto look lighter. I will mention PWCC does seem to mess with their scanner settings, and I've purchased a couple of autos I thought were slightly faded and they turned out to be fine. Turned out great for me, since they seemed to go for lower than normal since I assume others thought they were faded as well. |
