Default Time to buy Ben Simmons best rookies?

The guy is 26 years old, healthy (from what I heard) and bulked up in the off season...
Looks like he's committed to being an All-Star again..

I'm seeing some incredibly decimated prices for him right now... $31 for an Optic Blue Prizm? high was like $650

plus at this point the only star on the Nets....

Default uh.....no

His best days are behind him.

No one wants that contract and very few people want his cards.

I'd say.......no.

None of that significantly applies to his mental health, which is the problem. He carried it over from the 76ers. He is too mentally weak and lazy to play NBA basketball. At this point, he's doing it for the paycheck. If you have money to burn, better off just lighting it on fire. Didn't he say he was playing for Australia and now he is out to "focus on injury rehab"? He's a clown and will be out of basketball when he gets offended NBA teams offer him a minimum contract

Not sure about RCs, but I recently bought this /5 - my first ever Ben Simmons card - for the mooning price of $43

I don't think they are bad buys, just be prepared, that there's a chance he doesn't rebound. He'll be like Deron Williams or Steve Francis. I would have liked that blue optic at 31$

I thinki saw the triple descending golden dragon on the chart this morning.

I’d say that’s a great buying opportunity unless it turns into the inside out flexing gargoyle pattern, then you’d want to sell right away!

Great that he’s bulking up, but the last time i have heard, he’s an nba player with shooting issues, not an mma fighter or a wrestler, so how does bulking up fix the issue?

If you’re buying because you like him for your PC - great
If you’re buying because you like him as an Investment- not great

"The guy" couldn't take his college team to a 68 team tournament in a weak college conference. He stunk before he even made it to the NBA.

Bulked up has nothing to do with his problems. He needs to be shooting 5-7000 shots a day from all over the court...each and every day.

There's a chance he doesn't shoot either.

There's just the tricky piece of how he might choose to never play competitive basketball again because he doesn't feel like it/can't do it. And he'll make the rest of his contact regardless.

His prices got to their highs not because he was a beloved athlete who captured hearts and minds but as an investment in his potential to be an all-time great based on hype, which was obviously misplaced.

I pulled a /199 optic rookie Ben Simmons back during his peak hype and then totally forgot about it... found it again after all the hype was all but dead. Missed out on at least a grand

I've always been a fan of Ben Simmons despite his poor performances, but it has always been an issue with his mental strength and toughness.

He was very capable of being dominant, but unless he gets rewired, I think the odds of him becoming an All-Star caliber player are very slim. The best player on the Nets is BY FAR Mikal Bridges.

I'm far more interested in Opie's voyage as an aspiring sentient GnR coverist than I am on his intergalactic bass calls.

There's some lingering, Arnel Pineda-like quality I can't quite place my E.T. finger on.

Nailed the take.

Totally agree.

Right now if I'm taking a risk, it's on Zion, not Ben

Guy has been in the league 7 years.

Missed 2 entire seasons due to injuries and "mental issues" most guys would have played through.

Averages 5 3-point attempts. Per year. As a primary ballhandler.

Had 2 entire missed seasons to figure out how to shoot a 3, still can't. Had multiple offseasons to improve his game, hasn't.

Please tell me how this time will be any different vs his track record of disappointment.

His wave 3 Fibonacci differential is only .432 to the third power. What are you thinking???

Also, this was awesome.

Seemed to work well for Giannis.
