1) Is there risk damaging a 35 point card by putting it in a 20 point plastic card holder like this?

I dont know much about the snap holders, but for 3), with toploaders I try to not make it really snug....like you could probably get the card in by pounding it down on the table several times, but not a big fan of that. I worry about warping issues, super tight fit may warp card long term....but then again Im an over-worrier when it comes to card storage

I read that all Topps inserts are 35 point. Is this true?

If a 20 pt. card is in a penny sleeve, it will not be damaged in a 35 pt. toploader. I just use 35 pt. toploaders for all 20-35 pt. cards.

I keep most of my high end cards in the mini snaps. I feel comfortable doing so but only use them because my priority is aesthetics.

Just casually opens a drawer full of some of the most amazing 90s cards in existence (including the full released/unreleased run of Crusades). ![]() |

Here's an exageration, but this is a cheap Heritage relic in a mag that's way too shallow. Once the card sticks out above the relief and takes up any gap between the two halves of the holder, there's potential for the bottom edge to get pressed down.
![]() I don't know how far over the specified point size you can go before card damage occurs. Thick card jammed into a thin top loader could mash the bottom edge, too.

I'm not an expert, per se, but I do feel like I'm cautious. I wasn't a fan of one-touches until Pro-mold started making them for sleeved cards, but I did use a few of the older style. Now I use the sleeved one-touches regularly for display.
