Stats Are Meaningless Unless You Win. Luka and Jokic I’m Looking at You

Taking a page out of the old Lebron haters playbook. I had to hear it for years until Lebron entered historical territory with 4 titles/4 fmvps. Stats are meaningless unless you win. While Lebron didn’t reach the ultimate prize of a title his first stint in Cleveland his record in the the playoffs with a weak supporting cast was a decent 42-29. Some members on here will have you believe that players such as luka and jokic are at the upper echelon of nba history. Their stats say one thing but their record when it matters says otherwise. Luka with a 14-17 record and jokic with his 21-27 record in the playoffs is telling. Maybe they are on the path of the goat (mj) 24-29 record in the playoffs before he broke through. I don’t know, but I do know is they will have to start winning to be considered as some of the best that’s ever played. Their stats say one thing, their value to team success says another. Will they rise to the pantheon of all time greats, or will they be remembered as great players that couldn’t win? Time will tell.

I do feel good. I enjoy watching my favorite player play enough that I don’t have to make threads like this, or troll player threads with incessant whining about how life isn’t fair.

Maybe there was some truth to it. Lebron, while having a winning record in the playoffs, rose above and made history. Jokic and luka need to do something,

I could have sworn you blamed Joker for injuring Murray, maybe in more roundabout language. Like, if Joker really wanted to win then he would have kept Murray healthy and yet he failed

Unfortunately Jokic and Luka don't have the luxury of constantly playing 40 win wizards/nets teams in the playoffs. You drop either of them into the early-mid 2000s eastern conference and they'd have just as good of a playoff record.

Why did ping pick Luka and Jokic? Is it because of the color of their skin? Or maybe their ethnicity? Seems odd to single those two out and not also guys like Tatum, Booker, Embiid, Harden, George, Trae, Mitchell, Zion, Ja, Dame, Edwards, and KAT who haven’t won anything either.

I don't remember denigrating any players for not having championship-quality support, so nothing is coming around to me that I haven't dished out.
