pulling these figures from the bunghole, we have for the 86F 57 MJ:
100k copies at $5K average/copy, that's $500M Total Market Value (TMV) For the Wagner it's 60 x 2M = $120M For 52 Mick it's 3k x $75k = $225M For 84S 101 MJ it's 5k x $15k = $75M (mediocre eye appeal kills even GOAT RC market value) For 14 Baltimore Ruth it's 5 x ??? = $100M+? For 15 Ruth RC it's 250 x $300K = $75M 4 Goudey Ruths: 8K x $15K = $120M For PMG Green MJ's it's 10 x $3M = $30M For Brady tickets it's 100 x $2M = $200M Anyway I'm most curious about MJ. The PMGs are among the most expensive per copy but demand for 57s blows it away. My best rough guess is that the top MJ cards by TMV in order are: 86F, 84S, 86FS, 87F, 85S, don't really have any idea after that, I assume 87S is in the top 10? |

based on these rough guesstimate numbers, the 86F MJ is the most sought-after card in sports collecting and it's not all that close.
I forgot 89UD Griffey, that's like, what, over 1M copies at $50 a pop? $50M is all? Are there as many as 2M copies out there? Junk era |
