ALERT: PWCC & Probstein Still Consigning From Card Trimmers & Selling Trimmed Cards

...The trimmers are just getting smarter.


The PSA submission below struck me as a bit lucky due to the incredible grades on many condition sensitive cards. However, there really aren't many traceable cards in the submission, and the few that have better chances of being traced haven't come up for sale yet. However, there is one proven trimmed card below, last sold raw and untrimmed in November 2018 to an unknown buyer. These cards were graded very recently and have just started being sold for the first time as of last month. Most of the cards that haven't already been sold by Probstein are either currently listed by them or are up for auction with PWCC this month. Buyer beware of all the cards listed below. All the cards are PSA 10s except for 2, and frankly those might just be from someone else and mixed in as they don't realy fit in with the rest of the contents of the PSA submission.

There is NO WAY that psa, or a faction within psa, is not involved in this. Im sorry, but bleach em, trim em, color em.......doesnt matter. There is still NO WAY anyone gets 99% psa 10's on a sub like this unless psa is involved in the scam.

Yes, pwcc and the trimmers are obviously in the wrong big time, but how anyone can see results like this and not realize the grading companies are in cohoots with the rest of these criminals, then youre just paying attention.

That is the biggest story out of these threads that it seems that people are giving psa the pass. They are more corrupt than anyone. Obviously same for bgs with the black labels

Looking at individual cards, the Allen Iverson Finest RC w/ Peel has 19 Gem Mint 10's out of 127 graded right around 15% Gem Ratio. So to go 4/4 is astronomical odds or cheating.
(This includes the 4/4 as well so it was 15/123, 12%)

Stephen Curry Topps RC PSA 10 Rate 312/1216: 25.6% (Went 5/5)

Tom Brady Skybox Impact RC 789/1744: 45% (Went 7/7)

Ken Griffey Jr. Upper Deck RC 3723/70709: 5.2%! (Went 5/5)

There might even be worse examples in there.

Regarding the MJ RR, I've had a psa 9 copy since 2014 when they were going for 200 a pop. Lol @ a trimmed 10 already being bid up to $2,400 with 9 days left. I'm trying to pick a detail to focus on here, but so much is so funny at the same time.

Even if this one wasn't trimmed, the fact it still gemmed with that centering is unreal.

Would be better if PWCC and consignors just shut down instead, even if they have good intentions they're not going to filter out very much. Consider also the likelihood that even all that we have seen is just the tip of the iceberg. PWCC and other similar businesses are in it for money, other stuff is not important to them.

It's funny to me also that a psa 10 of this card had never sold that high but a bgs 9.5 ended for $4400 or something not too long ago so now the psa 10 has to one up it lol.

I know one guy who subbed 6 psa 10s to try and get a 9.5 and went 0/6

Those edges are not supposed to be that smooth

I agree for the most part. There are some serial numbers missing, so some cards may not have made a PSA 10 and weren't slabbed. If this was from a trimmers bunch, some of those may have came back "min size" or whatever. Still, that is a lot of PSA 10s that I am not so sure mere mortals are able to obtain. Do you think there are a/few "trigger" cards that tell the grader that this batch of cards receives the "platinum level" treatment.

Idk if it's happenstance but I feel like I am noticing this on quite a bit of auctions.

When the card is flush against one side you can see the quite a bit of gap between the card and the holder on a lot of these trimmed "gem mints". The cards do not fill the holder like a lot of lower grades.

Been noticing this diamond cut tilt on a lot of these scans. Not sure if that's just anecdotal, but it's quite odd.
