9 1/2 years in the Navy and while it was challenging and hard work, it was also very rewarding.

Happy Veterans Day to all the armed forces members I served with over the years, the sailors I support on a daily basis at work, and all veterans who have served.

Ya know, when I left the Marine Corps back in '93 after eight and a half years, it was the right decision, but that doesn't mean I don't miss it dearly. Not a day goes by.........Semper Fi brothers and sisters.

Here in Canada and in other Commonwealth countries (UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, etc.) we celebrate Remembrance Day.

My 89 year old grandpa who served in the Army in the 50's was laid to rest today. He was awesome and a huge part of my life, as well as still living on his home and driving. He past away peacefully a week ago, services were yesterday and burial today. Having the local VFW present for the burial today honoring him, was such a comforting experience. Thank you grandpa and thank you to all who have served, you are all incredible and special.
